lol, thanks to GM for posting to let us know he's not fallen under a rock some place...

Does anyone else have a mental image of countless devs hiding under their desks as correspondents, lead by ourintrepid Caylin, flag flying high, march along the developers' halls?

Or better yet, think Terminator (1) when he's in the police station and Sarah Connah's hiding

I hope we get some juicey reports of what's gone on and what's talked about. Can't wait!

GM - thanks for posting to show SOE acknowledges we exist, please, please try to post once in while, even just to say "hi". It means a lot to know we aren't forgotten, and helps ease the pain of our situation.

I'd like to take, what I feel, is an objective look at GreenMarine's "reappearance".

First off, many of you might not recognize my name, butI used toslog it through here for awhile. I don't post often now because of situations like these. So, basically, I'm not some "johnnycomelately" who just got on to bust chops.

Many of us have made some very negative and cynical posts. Others have made some overly joyful posts ("OMG! GM is back and it's all good!).

Well, this is how I see it. Much has been made of how many posts GM has made and his working on Smuggler on his own time (according to Thunderheart *shrug*). Personally, I do believe GM is very busy.

But, as far as Smugglers go, even on his own time, I look at his posts here and the last one was June 29th. That was 2 months ago. And this wasn't just any old contact. It wasduring a time when he tasked us to come up with smuggler revamp ideas and told us he would answer with feedback. Forget brainstorming, we were "brain hurricaning" during that time! Jazzed and all the rest of it. And then....silence.

With all due respect to your job, GM, my job is no walk in the park either, but 2 months without posting?

Less than a dozen keystrokes will get you to this forum. And if all it was was a curt reply of "Hi, y'all. I'm alright. See ya' soon." it would have went A LONG WAY!

And now our Correspondent, BLESS HIS SOUL, had to go to Austin to getone post?!

"He (Caylin) wanted me to make a post to show that I'm alive"?? So, if Caylin hadn't have caught you in Austin, then we would still be in the dark as to your "status", right!

"I apologize for not participating on the boards much." MUCH?! How 'bout NONE??! For two months!

Whether it was his personal time or not, you should and could have followed up with one measly little post. And it should not have taken our Correspondent to corner you all the way in Austin to do it!

I mean come on everybody, damn. Am I the only one who thinks that is lame? I'd love to take his word for it, but eventaking his word for it,we were lefthangingin the dark for 2 months"!Everyone's got their own comfort zone, but I think most of the posters here are really too nice in this.

Looking at 95% of this thread would tell me that "Hey, after starting up two Revamp Topic Threads, you can leave the Smugglers hanging for 2 months of total silence, come back, and get a parade!" Why would anybody worry about us after this?

GM's post looks to me that Caylin got lucky. "Dragged off" for the rest of the conference? I bet he was! I mean how do you not even say "what's up, people?" after hyping us up to get creative, after one month, much less two?

Fishbrains, your signature line IS right on the mark! And I'm serious. From the looks of it most of us have become "battered spouses/girlfriends". With all of the denial and brainwashing that goes with it.

"Oh, honey, you've been gone for 2 months without a call! But, now you're back!!! So lemme get you a beer and a sandwich. Relax, I'll draw up a warm bath."

You seem to miss the point, that GM doesn't owe us anything. He is not under any obligation to post here, and he's certainly not obligated to help us out. He's allowed to have a life of his own while not working on JTL y'know. You don't know what other obligations he's got.

Yeah, it would take him 10 minutes or less to drop us a line, but, again, he's not required to do anything. Stop taking the guy for granted. I have no doubt that he's still be reading posts here. How long did the Devs just read our posts without replying, before Thunderheart came along? By your forum registration date I'm going to guess you weren't around for those days. We could got for an entire MONTH without hearing a single word from the Devs about anything going on in the entire game!!

Yeah, it stinks that we had to wait to hear from GM for so long, but cut the guy some slack. He could very well say "meh, I've changed my mind and don't want to help the Smugglers for these reasons....." and he'd have every right, because it's not his job to help us out.

Beggars can't be choosers man, be glad you even get what you've gotten from GM so far.

Nah, I'm not missing any points. He doesn't owe us anything and not under any obligation, but that doesn't mean that's it's all cool and dandy tostart us down the path of Revamping and then just disapper!

I don't see me taking him for granted. We're the ones being taken for granted, man. If you don't see that point then that's your opinion and I'm not going to short you of it.

My registration date has got nothing to do with it. I've monitored these forums and been in-game since Launch Day. That's the only date that should really matter.

Like I said in my post, some of us just have different comfort zones. If this is cool with you, then it's cool with you. It's lame to me.

I'll grant you one thing. Beggars can't be choosers, you're right. Maybe, it's just time to stop begging. And paying to do it.

All of the Correspondents are here at SOE-Austin and I was trapped in my office by a large roving pack of them. Smuggler Caylin was at the lead and he was able to corner me for a few minutes discussion. Unfortunately, he was quickly dragged away by Tigger to attend the next part of the conference.

I hope to get another chance to touch base with Caylin prior to the end of the conference.

He wanted me to post a message saying that I am alive and I do exist. I apologize for not participating on the boards much lately. I've been as busy as a Kuat mechanic on inspection day, with all the JTL development going on.
