Thread: Ah! Correspondents roaming the halls!

I didn't really mean to phrase it that way, but ok... I just found it funny a JTL dev is the only one that cares about us smugglers

One more thing Scall. GM is one of the developers that knows a lot about the systems. He did the Ranger fixes (at the time they were good) way back shortly after Launch. I believe he was also involved in the Chef Revamp. And I think he was one of the original Devs on Smuggler before Launch, but was unable to do what he wanted before the game went Live.
For the record, I do not remember where I read that last part about being a Smuggler Dev before launch. I thought it was in one of the Smuggler Revamp posts, but work is calling so I can't look it up right now.
This is just a little sidenote, cause I love stats (baseball fan...w00t!).
GreenMarine has near 450 posts. I'm sure that a LARGE portion of them are on the Correspondant forum but if you search his profile, you'll find that the first 3 pages there is not one post anywhere else but the Smuggler forum except for one. The rest of his posts, visible to the public, in other places may number around 20.
That right there is dedication, my fellow scoundrels. Just a lil thing to keep in mind when GM says he wants to get back, I genuinely believe him. That is what gives me hope for us and keeps me sticking around. I know what lays in our future, we just need to be patient. Sucks we have to wait but I'd rather have it done right that some slopping cluster-*leeeeeep* thrown together just to tide us over.

Jeez, sorry I didn't know. I started posting on the boards like in January... Anyways, where is that third thread we were promised? Or was aI mistaken.
Edit:Wait... why would we be given a JTL dev to work on smuggler?

We weren't given any Devs. GreenMarine cares about the Smuggler profession, so he decided to try and bring to focus to our eventual revamp. He did this completely on his own; he wasn't assigned to be our Dev because he is still working on JTL.
Thnak goodness someone else seems to realise this.Any work the guy does for smuggler is on his own time. That tells me alot about how much he cares for us. Can any of us say that we would volunteer to help customers where we work on our free time? I don't think many of us would. Let's give him time. Yeah, I'd love to see him on the boards just as much as all of you but we also have to realize that the guy has a life
I got a chance to sit in on a lot of the forums at Fan Fest. GreenMarine was on some of the panels to discuss things with the players. Whenhe wasn't on the panel he was quite often in the audience listening to the questions and answers and making notes on his PDA. NONE of these panels had anything to do with JTL and he still seemed to have a better understanding of the principles behind the gameplay than most of the other Devs. This guy is sharp, talented, and dedicated.
You guys are very lucky to have him working on your profession.

Fishbrains, have I told you I love your signature dearly?
Thanks, I'm allways looking at new and clever ways to express my frustration about Smuggler via my sig.
It's the greatest..Can..can I marry it..?
And on topic, I did note most of GM's posts WERE in the smuggler forums. That made me feel loved

All of the Correspondents are here at SOE-Austin and I was trapped in my office by a large roving pack of them.Smuggler Caylin was at the lead and he was able to corner me for a few minutes discussion. Unfortunately, he was quickly dragged away by Tigger to attend the next part of the conference.
I hope to get another chance to touch base with Caylin prior to the end of the conference.
He wanted me to post a message saying that I am alive and I do exist. I apologize for not participating on the boards much lately. I've been as busy as a Kuat mechanic on inspection day, with all the JTL development going on.
Eep!
I'm sure you made an exellent effort in avoiding them.
