Thread: New Smuggler Revamp Friday Feature!

That's not nothing , indeed.
We learned something important, something very good, and it have nothing to do with TH reply. We learned that we are not alone in wanting our revamp, others want it for us too. I was stunned by that huge show of support.
Of TH's answer, I choose to hang to this part: "Things are happening on that front".
I would have liked a little more details for sure, now many will think it is not true. Let's hope it is eh?

The same thing has been happening for over a year now. I was for the revamp way back when it was "suppose" to come out when they changed how you became a jedi, then we were told it was the patch after that, then after jtl and now they cant tell us anything about it. We are just getting the same story over and over again. When they were first posting idea for the smuggler revamp everyone was all for it, but nothing came of it for some reason. All of us smugglers including myself (smuggler for 9+ months) are cats and Sony is just using a cat toy with us and we grab for it each time. I am very disappointed in the work ofSony here. We post ideas and ideas and get nothing as other profession cry and our profession takes a hit(food, fd). I am still all for a smuggler revamp, and posting to try to get it, but I am informing everyone that we have been doing this for over a year and gotten nothing. I would love to see a dev reply to this post and prove me wrong with showing us some work on our revamp.

/sigh Its a good thing I'm a patient girl when it comes to my job, but ouch.....More waiting. I can see it now, by the time we get revamped I'll be an old smuggler chick who's joints will be so sore I won't be able to get in and out of my ship.

That is exactly why I started this thread, and pushed to have Non-Smugglers in each Galaxy read it. The Smuggler community has indeed been pushing for almost two years, but wecould be viewed as a "small segment" of the game by SOE, and as such a segment that is easily dismissed. Getting the rest of the player community to see and respond to our plight is exactly what needs to happen...otherwisewe are just the same small group of people saying the same things and getting the same attention from SOE. As Yimayz put it so succinctly a few postsbelow this one:"At the least we got right up in their faces about this"
Lets try to keep the positive energy going, not just in our own Smuggler Forum, but in our Galaxy Forums as well. Conyinue posting POLITE feedback in the Friday Feature thread...the longer we keep the pressure on outside of our own Smuggler Forum, the more attention & support we will get from everyone else. By keeping our comments polite and constructive, it will be far easier to gain the sympathies of other players...using rudeness and flames will paint us as bitchy whiners.
Witha groundswell of support across the entire player-base, there will come a point where SOE will have no choice but to acknowledge our situation or risk alienating a much larger portion of the player-base than "just the Smugglers."
Keep up the good work everyone, and keep fighting the good fight!

I agree 100% however anytime someone posts "Im glad FD got nerf, it's a stupid skill" or "stop whining, my profession is nerfed more then yours"Im going to be rude and flame them, its just in my nature....I cant help myself.

Actually, my comments about keeping it polite & constructive were more aimed at people who are disappointed at yesterday's post from TH andsee that as a reason to badmouth SOE and flame TH. When addressing comments to SOE (or to anyone we want something from) we should always remember that HOW we say something has just as much influence (if not more) as WHAT we aretrying to say. Insults and attacks putpeople on the defensive, which makes them less likely to want to accomodate oreven listen to us

...for coming out and supporting the requests for info on the Smuggler Revamp! After almost 2 years of waiting for broken promises to be made good, many Smugglers have lost faith in SOE. YOUR support of this cause is a HUGE boost to their morale, and proves to SOE that the Smuggler (as well as Ranger &Squadleader) professions are indeed important to the ENTIRE community.
Please continue to voice your support for Revamp of these professions! Don't be discouraged by non-commital answers from SOE...only by keeping the pressure on and the feedback coming can we hope to accomplish anything.
