Thread: New Smuggler Revamp Friday Feature!

Guys, here is what I posted on my Galaxies Forum. I titled it "Eclipse Smugglers & Non-Smuggler Please Read!"
You might consider cutting-and-pasting the white text, and posting it on your Galaxy. Remember to change "Eclipsians" in the 3rd paragraph toreflect your Galaxy

Background for the non-Smugglers: SOE has been promising to revamp and improve our profession since 2003. The only things that Smugglers have seen since then are a string of broken promises and removal/nerf of content...which affectsnot only the Smugglers but our customers and sister professions (like WS, AS, etc.)
Announcements of impending changes from the Devs were not followed by actual implementation of the stated changes. There have been no improvements, and certainly no addition of the ability to Smuggle. In spite of our Correspondent's best efforts, even simple communications from SOE are few and far between. This is well documented in the forums and on various web pages.
This is not intended to be a whiney post, just a request that my fellow Eclipsians (Smugglers and non-Smugglers alike) come out to support the movement to revamp Smuggler and make it a truly viable profession. I know that there are other professions in need of changes (Ranger comes to mind) but Smuggler has gotten absolutely nothing positive...at least other "broken" professions have seen attempts at fixes by SOE.
PLEASE take a moment to show yoursupportforSmugglers...I'm sure my brother and sisters in the Underworld will gladly support your causes in return!

Wow.. it's like watching a dam burst. Feels a bit like the smuggler sit-in in terms of overwhelming solidarity.

ugh, all the twinkers and munchkins demanding stats stats stats. how boring and what a waste of time.

ouch, i got personally called out by a fellow smuggler. somebody take a look at my back. i suddenly got this stabbing sensation between my shoulderblades. hmm...

Yes, TH's repsonse is contentless nothingness and disappointing, but the LAST thing this profession and this board needs is more pessimism about the situation. If we all sat back and thought "Oh, that'd mean they'd actually have information, so why bother posting at all." even MORE nothing would happen.
At least this way we got a HUGE turnout of people, and even non-smugglers showing a desire for a smuggler revamp. That's not nothing.
