Had the weirdest thing happen last week:

I was outside my town hunting to get pistol xp for the dirtyfighting tech tree. Some guy /tells me. I have never seen the name before but I am always to be friendly to new faces. He asks if I can slice his armor. I have slicing 4 so I told him yes. He tells me to meet him in Moenia. I was really not interested in running all the way (before new "call bike anywhere" change) to my shuttleport and going to meet him. I told him I could later as I was busy hunting at the moment. He said I really needed his armor sliced now and would pay me 50k for my time and efforts. I said 50k? He said yes. So I know there are some extremely rich andnoobish typesin this game so I head to the shuttleport. Before I get to shuttleport he asks "aren't you a master weaponsmith also? If so can you bring me a scout blaster and I will buy it also". I already had a few on my vendor so I go pick one up and say "no problem, on my way".

So I finally find the guy in Moenia, Naboo. I think he was lost but finally he meets me. So he hands over the 3 armor pieces....... not even a whole set but heck if he wants to pay that much so be it! So I get 3 good slices actually. I thought the 50k was way too much so I was going to GIVE him the scliced scout blaster due to my conscious hurting me. I mean obviously he must be a noob......... Then the following happened:

Me: Ok three good slices on your armor. I also have your scout blaster. (send trade request)

Goober: (opens trade window) How much?

Me: Well since you offered to pay me so much for the armor slice the gun is free

Goober: So how much?

ME: You told me you would pay me 50k.

Goober:WHAT???!

ME: You said you would pay me 50kto drop what I was doing, run about 3k to the nearest shuttleport and slice your armor. And you add a weapon order after I was on my way. BUT since you are giving me so much the gun is free. No charge.

Goober: 50k? NO WAY (closes trade window- I DIDN"T complete trade of course and have his stuff)

ME: EXCUSE ME?

Goober: You're too expensive I am outta here. Rip off!

ME: (in a nice way calmly recount his offer and further explain he gets a free sliced scout blaster as well)

ME: (since I am not greedy and obviously have a noob or moron and feel pity for them) Look guy. There seems to be some misunderstanding. Just take your armor back, already sliced FOR FREE. However pay me 5k for the sliced scout blaster and we will just call it even.

Goober: (no response and runs off with no boots, I have them as well as the blaster and 2 armor bracers)

After laughing and being slightly annoyed, I email him again telling him I can't understand what in the world he is doing. I told him that his armor is still FREE to pick up but he has to meet me at my town to pick it up. I have never heard fromhim since. In my bank vault are 3 nice pieces of ubese sliced armor. LOL.

I'm at Bestine doing my spam about 30 minutes ago. Ihave two customers wanting18 pieces of armor sliced so I /dump the spam (my tag is still up as Master smuggler). I get a tell from a guy want fp tell him to wait a minute cause I'm slicing.

Girl: /yell Need master Smuggler to slice....

Finish off my slicing of the armor mean while got 3 impatinent tells from guy wanting fp.

Girl: /yell Need master Smuggler to slice.... x3

Run to the bank to drop off the cash replying to the guy wanting fp. Tell him him my price.

Girl /yell Need master Smuggler to slice....

Guy wanting fp has got them which is no biggy, I hate doing it anyway cause I'm saving for rank and would have to work on getting them myself as I don't trust them damn smuggler as far as I can throw them The girl is still spamming and I haven't been for the last 5 minutes so....

Me: /tell girl you could try doing a search, you never know.

girl: /reply cheers.

I count to 5.

girl: /reply cool I've found one thanks.

I count to 5 again.

girl: /reply it's you.

me: /reply lol omw.

Hee the girl even gave me a tip

Hey guys, Ive been a master smuggler for several months and in all that time I've never had anything remotely funny happen while slicing.......until last night......

I had just logged on and was standing outside the Theed starport. I get this tell from a guy asking ifI could slice some armor for him. I tell him my fee to which he agrees to and ask him to meet me at the fountain next to the cloning center.

From my position I could see him approach me and I wave to him as he gets close. As he walks within a short distance to me I say "Hi", no response. He stands there for a second and then turns his back to me. At this point I'm not sure whats going on and I'm just about to send him a tell when he finally speaks. The following conversation takes place while he is facing away from me.....

guy: (whisper) psst

guy: (whisper) word around here has it that you can slice some stuff

me: (reply in a normal voice) yeah thats right

guy: (whisper) keep it down

guy: (whisper) can you slice some armor for me

me: (whisper) yeah, pass it to me

*GUY TRADES WITH ME*

guy: (whisper) you know the emporer could have you shot for this or worse

At this pointI slice the armor and report the results to him in tells. During this time he talks to me normally butgoes back into character as soon as I finish.

*TRADE WITH GUY*

guy: (whisper) dont tell anyone

me: (whisper) ok

He thenruns off, never once looking back. This was my first experiance with a roleplayer and I hope not my last. Thisguy brought a little life into what had started out to be a routine night. Thanks Gost for making me feel like a real smuggler.

I got one! I got one!

I am a newer smuggler (0-1-0-4) and have read this whole thread. I have really enjoyed it and have been waiting for something to happen to me so I can join the ranks of chuckling smugglers, and it finally happened.

I have been alternating between Theed and Coronet trying to get containers to slice. Was having good luck too, made my first box yesterday. Even found a twin force crystal in one that a fellow sold me for 3k! But anyway, back to my story. I was slicing my last container yesterday for my Slice I when a fellow runs up and asks me for training. I reply to his tell....

Fellow - Hey, can you train me?

Me - Yeah NP, let me finish this slice though.

Fellow - OK, I'll wait.

Me - *finishes slice, get Slicing I so I'm pumped* OK, what did you need training for?

Fellow - one-hand II

Me - *realise I have my Fence title up* I can't train that man, sorry.

Fellow - Why not?

Me - I am not a swordsman, I am a smuggler. Sorry. I have to go find a trainer. *I take off*

Fellow - Hey! Wait! I can pay! *begins following me*

Me - Money is not the issue. I do not have onehand II. I am a smuggler, my title is Fence not Fencer. It means I am good at making drugs.

Fellow - Drugs? You can fence...that means fighting with a sword right? So train me!

Me - *hit cntl uparrow and repeat myself.*

Fellow - *continues to follow me*

Me - *Go to trainer, get Slicing I, begin to head back to starport. Notice fellow following me.* Hey, whats up? Shadowing me? Are you a narc? lol

Fellow - No, I need training.

Me - I am sorry, but as I said I don't have unarmed.

Fellow - I don't need unarmed I need onehand II!. Maybe thats why you are confused.

Me - *hit cntl uparrow a few times and repeat my earlier statement.*

Fellow - Dude, I'll follow you all day, you'll use your sword soon and then you can tain me?

Me - *Tinking to myself "poor confused noob" I return to starport and hit my containers macr and start crafting. Fellow sits down next to me. And I kid you not, he stays there almost 20 minutes. He finally gets up to leave.

Fellow - Jerk

Me - Have a nice day, hope you find someone to train you.

Fellow - Jerk

About ten minutes later however, I did get a tell from the guy appologizing. He apparently found someone to train him, and as he related what happened between he and I the actual Fencer explained things to him in a way I guess he could understand. I was impressed that he took the time to appologize though, showed some class I thought.

Something we will probably all see for a while....

I am slicing in Coronet when a guy approaches me:

Guy: Can you slice a weapon for me?

Me: Sure. (We trade, he passes me a rifle)

Me: This rifle is already sliced. (I trade it back to him)

Me: You know you can now tell if a weapon is sliced.

Guy: Really? How? (So I explain to him how to examine the weapon and where to look)

Guy: Hey, that's cool! I have another weapon to be sliced....

Me: Ok. (We trade)

Me: *Sigh* This weapon is already sliced.
