B, those of us that want to increase the odds of a better slice and use quality resourcesto experiment our tools and kits up should be rewarded for that effort.

I think at this point, it's just safe to say that the results are... we are split 50/50 so let's try to think of something else.

True, but as long as this is up I might as well keep tallying it.

for anyone who has ever obtained a krayt weapon and got a 13% speed slice, you must vote B

the current system waistes people's time and money. a bad slice on a krayt weapon made by spending countless hours hunting krayts, or millions of credits buying tissues can make that weapon less effective than a normal made weapon with a 35% slice on it!

c'mon people!!

and there was much rejoicing...

But a smuggler's skill should matter. i.e. a master should have less of a chance of getting below 20% than a non-master. Tighten up the range a bit.

I don't like the quality aspect, because it's just a knife and it's just a clamp (plus the WUK or AUK). I mean, it either cuts or it doesn't. It either lights up blue or red, or it doesn't. Quality, in this applications, does not make sense.

My second character is a master smuggler (Teddie on Ahazi) and always will be a master smuggler (I think ).

I wholeheartedly vote B.

I don't like to slice for people because of the randomness, nothing like getting a really expensive gun or set of armor and telling them sorry, 18% speed or 18% effectiveness when they needed encumberence or wanted damage.

The current system makes it horrible to be a smuggler. It should not be totally random where a master and slicing 2 slicer have the same possibility to get a bad slice.

And I also think the smuggler should be able to pick speed or damage, and effectiveness or encumb. Maybe only at master level?
