Thread: Concerns about slicing.

Doing it this way makes all the pvp play yet another tier above "normal player". we were already interdependant on WS and AS. they made the WUKs and AUKs, remember?

Except the jedi. And most people don't care about them anyways. But we should make sabers sliceable. They are untradeable, so it's not like they'll get sliced much. Please?

I have to disagree with this statement on multiple terms.
I know alot of armorsmiths who have alts that do hunt and farm resources / drops for their own wares. This in return means more profit for them.
As for your statement about "Smugglers don't change their prices for slicing. " I know for a fact most smiths out there do not charge 5-20k for a krayt enhanced weapon if the tissues are supplied. Most of the time a Krayt, hand made, weapon is a flat 100k with the smiths I use. I also know that when you supply all the components for RIS the smith isn't going to charge you resource cost.

Because we're Smugglers... and Smugglers are supposed to be greedy little bastages. It's all about the credits.
Not only that, what we're doing is supposed to be illegal... on the down-low.
But mostly it's just about the money, and how we can deprive you of the most of it while filling our own pockets. It's nothing personal... just business. ![]()

Made is the keyword there. Now that we don't rely on anyone to slice, we should at least give GM the benefit of the doubt and see how it works first.
There are some good points in this thread with regards to this system. I pvp. I hate losing to a powergamer with all the time and the loot. I work, have kids, wife etc.. etc.. I dunno though. Maybe I don't expect as much out of this as others.
I am just trying to offer another approach to this.
Maybe they should just have WS and AS make Slice Kits that depend on superb resources on various tiers to support slices. Or give Smugglers the ability craft these. Smugglers don't want to craft so let's scrap that, but we have to find a medium that makes everyone happy.

Yes that is true.
I was just throwing ideas out. Didn't mean to offend. I just think we should see how it works before screaming bloody murder. I would support any Smuggler loot groups who wish to go out and farm as much loot as we could to support our Smuggling.
I have never sliced for profit, so again, I am biased.
