I agree Hollow, completely...

No longer holding out hope, SWG will never be the game we fought so hard for, that we believed so much in. Farewell friends.

Hmm, that's a point, why not push for Slicing XP to go into luck? Smuggling XP when it finally comes (Heh, here's hoping anyway) could then replace this or be used in addition to it.

I couldn't help but notice that Slicing XP isn't in that list at all. That's 1/3 of our overall XP that's wasted. Putting Slicing in the Senses column would not only make sense (as it is governed by luck unless you're using clamps), but would make us viable in Force Sensitivity.

I agree with your logic, but can you explain how this works a bit. Do I do a quest, and then convert some of my current XP into Jedi XP? Should I start grinding some silly spice xp? Do I need any 24 boxes, or do I need to get mastery of one type?

Well, when you get into the FS town, one of the NPC's can not only 'open' your sensitivity trees, but convert your normal XP into the type of FS xp you designate.

For example I change a bunch of spice crafting XP into the FS type of crafting XP.

I think you only need 24 boxes to get 'jedi' status, but I'm no authority on that, seeing as how I've never been a jedi.

I won't see about the revamp on this matter. It can change in the future and it's impossible to say exactly what will happen.

Quite honestly it's too far away to be considering at this point.

So I'm going to plan for the here and now in this instance and I don't want to see smugglers out of anything.

Slicing is for senses. I mean luck factor aside, it seems that most of the other professions under sense are dealing with character interaction to some degree. Merchant, ID, Medical.

I wouldn't say it's wasted, it's just excess that we have no use for after slicing 4.

I'd like to find a use for it and thats why I'm bringing this up now.

I am with you on all points, fearless leader. I hope we get some of the abilities listed in Vehicle Control, Luck, and Persuasion in our revamp, actually, as I once attempted to discuss here http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=smuggler&message.id=109209#M109209

If you don't want me to "play the forums," then I suggest you make time playing the game more rewarding and less repetitive than "playing" here!

I have been following this VERY closely, and the first question I asked when some of this was discovered was if Slicing XP could be converted. Obviously, the answer was "no" (and DNA Sampling XP does not convert either BTW, so we're not the only ones this time...).

I fully support adding Slicing XP to be comverted to Sense XP. It even makes a bit of sense (no pun intended) as picking the correct wire is something of a Sense-type action.

Please do your best to get this implemented, as you are correct that Persuasion and Luck seem like very Smuggler-ly FS things.

If I'm forced to keep my FS skills (taking away my Triple Master), I'd like to get Ranged Accuracy, Ranged Speed, Ranged Defense, Melee Defense, Vehicle Control, Persuasion, and Luck. I need one other, I haven't decided on, but it may be Melee Speed, since I'll be losing TKA skills to get the SP for the FS skills. Unfortunately, I have no way to get any Sense skills ATM.

I agree and as others have said Slicing XP should be added to this line. It's the closest thing we have to a sense at the moment without Smuggler XP and come on... Luck? that's all Slicing is atm!!!

I support server merging of some sort for the betterment and longevity of the game and it's player community!

Meh I hate all this new Force Sensitivity crap. It gives an unfair advantage to those who can free up the skill points to get it as opposed to those who cannot.

Once again. Jedi and Force Related things are going to be the ruin of this game.

Personally I the new system. No One should have access to any force skills until the Unlock.

The Devs seem to want to kills this game. I want to know what the hell they are passing around in Austin, and can I have some. Do they really understand what the Force Augmentation is going to do to the game?

If this goes through I am seriously going to think about quitting. Shame is I just got back into it after being out to sea for a long time, then hitting weather forecasting school. The Whole concept reeks of making money at the expense of sound game design. They are catering to the whiners that want force powers, when they should be fixing combat and the GCW. There weren't 50 Jedi running around Coronet during this time period.

GAH this isn't Star Wars it's KOTR.

/Rant Off

PS I had a hell of a time keeping this civil
