You sure you want to ask an answered question? I do remember being told spices were changed to quickly eliminate the "spice downer incap" and the "spice downer perma incap" that some people felt 3 months ago.

That's nothing to do with this change. This happens when the downer wears off, the spice downer incap happened when the downer starts.
I think the main reason we want to know is because it was an undocumented change and was never officially recognized. When they told Caylin the reason for the change, they wouldn't allow him to tell us. We just want to know why such a major change was made without any official recognition and with a gag-order on our correspondent.
I still think a direct question of "why was this change made" without any embellishment would be best. Like I said before, the more you give them to play with, the more leeway you give them in making an answer.

Hunh?
For REAL!?
That would make sense- where did you hear that?
Anyway, I am still down with asking the spice question as any other question about our profession would fall under one of the revamps (Ours, GCW, Combat) and they are still too up in the air (or top secret) at the moment.

I'm pretty sure it was Caylin. Please don't make me look for it.. it was about 2 months ago, and in a 30+ thread.

What was to address way back when wasthe Incap that happened when the spice downer hit (that was fixed). What people are curious about now is why Mind stats are low after downer is gone, this makes spice have a longer down time.

"Why was the Spice downer changed?"
That should be the question. No extra words, no wriggle room, no secondary questions that allow them to avoid the main question. Just straight to the point. It's time they gave us an answer.

"Why was the Spice downer changed? By requiring the HAM bars to regenerate after the downer is gone the spice's downer has been increased. Was this done on purpose and if so why?
Dreven is right it can be less words. How is this?

um... caylin never came out and said what was up, however some relation to incaps could be inferred from some of his questions probing us around the time he was talking to TH about what was going on... something along the lines of "is anyone still seeing incaps" but nothing putting 2+2 together and could have just been a question to gather background data instead of leading us to the answer.
Not that I'm not giving that a high probability of what happened.
But even if that is the full reason, it doesn't explain the stonewalling - actually, it makes it all the more strange because if it was done to fix incap bugs then theres zero reason to keep that from us and this fire would have never started if pub 7 patch notes had a one line note reading "Smuggler: Modified Spice downer recovery to prevent incapping while using spice". But that never appeared, and still hasn't, and I'd like to know why.

"Why was the Spice downer changed requiring the HAM bars to regenerate after the downer is gone? This has indirectly causedspice downersto beincreased. Was this done on purpose and if so why?"
Changed the wording a little, I think this flows better.

There ya go. I wouldn't mind throwing in something about Caylin giving the answer to TH for our last question, but this'll do. We know TH has the answer, so if we get anything else, we'll know.
