Tiggs: It's GreenMarine! He'slooking atthe Smuggler forum again!
TH: *yelling* Pull his network cable! Cut the phone lines! Whatever you do, DON'T LET HIM POST!!! I'm on my way!!

Blixtev: Dude, what are you doing?

GM: I didn't get a bug report about the slicing changes, so I'm cruising the Smuggler forum to see if there is anything I need to fix.

Blixtev: You can't do that!

GM: Why not? They made me program the stupid thing. Who else can fix it?

Blixtev: Didn't you read the memo?

GM: What memo? My e-mail has been down for a month, remember? I told them not to let Lithium set up our e-mail, they can't even make the forums work right.

Blixtev: Smugglers are off limits, dude. Anything that doesn't effect Jedi or the whole Jedi/BH thing is supposed to be ignored.

GM: What? You gotta be kidding me!

Blixtev: Nope. I wish I was, but it came down from the big wigs. If they ain't Jedi, screw 'em.

Tiggs: *runs in, panting* Take your hands away from the keyboard, mister!!

GM: Whoa... hold on now.. *raises his hands* What are you pointing at me?

Tiggs: It's a Taser... don't make me use it, GM.

GM: Have you gone loco? *shakes head* Joke's over, and I'm not amused. *goes back to looking at the Smuggler forum*

Tiggs: I warned you. *zaps him with the Taser*

GM: *falls to the floor, jerking around as the 10,000 volts run through him*

Blixtev: Whew. That was a close one!

Tiggs: Tell me about it.

TH: *runs in* Please tell me you got here in time!

Tiggs: *looks at GM's computer* Just barely. I nailed him before he could post.

TH: Whew... thank God. That could have been really bad.

GM: *drooling on the floor* Why don't you just take all the non-Jedi professions out of the game, you sadistic freaks?

TH: Are you kidding? We have to leave them in there... Jedi need them to grind so they can get "glowy", you know.

GM: Thats IT! I've had it with you sick twisted monsters! Nerfing over and over, never talking to your own customers, screwing over the smugglers time and time again...I can't even stand to be associated with you. I QUIT! So you can take your little red names, and your coding jobs, and your nerf bats, and bend over and shove them right up your money grubbing jedi loving .........

That explains a lot while leaving so many things unanswered.

I wondered why he was posting about something like trap fixes when we were still waiting for the Smuggler missions.

It also lends some merit to the rumor that our missions are nowhere near being ready to go into the game.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

I wonder....if the current Dev Drought here in SWG is something to do with SOE taking over Matrix Online.... Of course, that doesnt excuse or explain the two f*cking years of neglect to the Smuggler profession!

Wow, I've gone back and read all his blogs and even checked out his extropica site.

In all of it he mentions SOE (not even SWG) once, and that was to say he had left. Yes, he's got to be under one heck of a NDA since he only talked about WoW, EQ2, and poker prior to saying he left SOE.

The guy has one hell of a mind though. It's a shame he was never really able to put it to good use in this game. Reading his other stuff I really believe he was never allowed to since this game would have been radically different.

Wonder if we can all email him and get himto come up with his own MMORPG?

I doubt that. He's probably having nightmares from SWG, the poor bastid.

MMO architexture is just too rigid for a guy like GreenMarine, I think. He'd probably be better off making regular games, not MMOGs.

Actually, read up on his extropica site. I really think he'd go back into that field with the right backing. He takes a profoundly different stance on things than most people in the gaming industry.
