So ConcussionShot is changing to a rooting pre-CU PanicShot ,while PanicShot remains a LowBlow-lite delay shot and LowBlow is half what it should be...what a load of pap
Wes, press for the rooting mez shot to be PanicShot, for LowBlow to be a KD and snare and make ConcussionShot the attack delay. Thatmakes much more sense to me, and improves usin CC without making us invincible.
Root is a popular move these days so chances are most groups will have a pistoleer or a rooting jedi. The use I see for this is to keep my group alive by being able to control the extra mobs ranged and melee by dropping a mez on them.
the PvP effect I see on this change is devastating if its used right:
I'm in a PvP group of 8 people all are 'assist'ing through me. I use Concussion shot with my LBC(smuggler/commando) on an enemy group of players. Now, as long as my group has the disipline to only attack my target that is 1 enemy player shooting at us while 7 sit there on time out for 30 seconds and watch thier friend Die, knowing that one of them will be next.
Losing the root isn't as devastating as it seems. If anything it allows Melee Tanks to fulfill thier role, which they havn't been able to since no one needs them when they can root.

What I'm now seeing is less of a revamp and more of a CU fix to the non combat portion of our profession while ignoring the combat portion.
I said it before, and I'm gonna say it again. They better make sure they get this one right or a lot of people are out of here. They're talking about "Nerfherder Love" and a specific patch AGAIN already. That better not mean that once again our development is being cast aside or we're not getting the resources we DESERVE because the most powerful profession in the game still isn't powerful enough.
No matter what they are going to do... i have the bad feeling that we will get shafted again. And the worst part about it? We cant do anything to prevent this, because SOE gives a sh!t about us or our profession. I am realy tired that i have to step back all the time for the Glow D!ldo wielders.
i see we're going back and forth on the issue of Concussion shot. so i figured i'd chime in cause i got somethin to say about it.
the way i see it. if they do fix Concussion shot, so that it becomes a true Mezz, i don't see that as being a big problem.
it will still be very useful in PvE and PvP. it will essentially turn your target into a statue for 30 seconds! that means no moving, no shooting, no healing!
in 1 vs 1 PvP, you can use that time for a number of things. you can slap a big heal on yourself (your enemy CAN'T heal). you could like someone said earlier, whip out a bomb droid and kaboom! you canchange weapons.verbally taunt your enemy so theyget all mad and lose focus. take a quick nap.grab something to eat. tell a passerby howhot your enemy's mom is.or you gan get the hell outta dodge.

i think making concussion shot more of a paralyse is great for groups.. especially small ones. just as long as there isnt a period of time after it breaks that it wont stick again
Also agree with everyone who asked for better other abilities including a true root and kd
