Take one for me too mate. Geez. Todays been a rough day.
Also, with this system, you can have an 8% damage slice AND a 6% speed slice. Couldn't do that in the previous system.
They've already said the Smuggler stuff was going to happen over several publishes. Here's the first one.
I can be happy with the slicing changes and *not* settle for it. There can always be more, and when more comes, I'll be glad for it as well.
But let's not complain about nothing happening for 2 years, and then when something does happen it's "not enough". Then we're just sounding like other professions that shall remain nameless.....
I don't think we should settle either, but what choice do we have?
Most people were against the CURB but they went ahead and implemented it anyway, and lost a lot of veteran players. Now they short us on slicing because they rush it out to us, and they'll lose more veteran players. Jedi are whining because they are being taken down a peg, that will cost them players that earned or bought their Jedi. For the diehards, we're stuck with Galaxies, or we quit. For the noobs, who aren't used to the disappointment, they'll stay for awhile then quit. Right now, Galaxies is like a Greek tragedy. We can see all it's faults, but the devs are oblivious to them apparently (or their managers, perhaps). The only question is if we all hang around to see where it goes. The greatest Star Wars Saga... (mine) is disappointed.
uhg they just watered down the watered down slicing again/already ... no more breakage.
No more reasons for people to go back to their smuggler. No more RISK involved in chosing to do something ilegal. ... just ... permanent wepaons-crafting-style power ups. .... boring.
Now instead of slicing a weapon once for up to a35% damage increase, we can slice it 4 times for 8%.
Someonegimme aw00t, I don't have the strength.

MOST people were NOT against the CURB. MOST people didn't even know it was happening until it did.
I was solidly PRO-CURB, still am, I think the main issue with combat right now is that half the specials still don't work right, and of course, there's some jedi issues.
What choice do we have? We can stop saying, "
Too bad it won't happen, everybody's spirit is broken.

What choice do we have? We can stop saying, "well, it sucks, but at least it works..." and organize, unify our voice, get Wes to go to the Corr Forums, and say, loud and clear, that we're not accepting this.

I hope you're reading some of this Dev-folks, and not just the couple intial positive posts.
If we settle or not.. i honestly think that it makes no different to the Devs at all. Lets just "pretend" for a moment that the Slicing stuff is all that we get from the proposed Smuggler Revamp. What do you think how long it will take to have either Tiggs or some other Redname showing up and literaly telling us to STF_U because we got our Dev lubbinz for the next decade? Of course they will be here sooner if we start to whine and complain like the dudes on the Whin0r boards. Or we can make it like the Whin0rs and call for nerfing our own profession to get Dev time. ![]()

I'm always up for a fight, I think you all know that, but herein lies my dillema.I cannot for the life of me understand how what has just been sent to testing is going to be changed. Spirit broken? Maybe. Not satisfied? Definately, but I'm not going to turn away a scrap when starving.
I usually don't make these types of posts Saarek, but....
I agree with you 100%.

Heh, well, maybe I'm out of place, but I do believe that scrap you're eating is the Sterno from under the chafing dish.
