I've been waiting for smuggler changes probably about as long as anyone else, but try to take this into consideration.

SL had changes to their proffession...in skills. Just their professiona.Smugglers, from what it seems, will be getting new content. Missions, quests, etc...a whole new system of play. Something like this takes time tocreate and implement.

While I will be thrilled if the functionaity of smuggling is ever implemented in ANY way (and I do not mean glorified delivery missions, I mean a system of desirable contraband and true consequences for those transporting it for other players), IF the only way to GET that functionality is to purchase the Jedi expansion, that will be a problem.

Can you imagine the response if any other profession that has been here since the start of the game had to purchase an expansion released two years later in order to function at its stated profession? For example,Bounty Huntershaving to wait that long to be able to hunt bounties? Or Doctors having to wait that long to be able to heal?

The thing that really bothers me about this reply and the post in general is the overlooking of all the veteran smugglers that have been banned and/or quit the game waving the same flag, whose flames were directed at SOE and the DEVs (where it could possibly make a difference) instead of the Smuggler community (where it's merely preaching to the choir). I mean how many times were Angus and Keck banned? And I bet not once was their perceived bashing (i.e. the truth) directed at the Smuggler community.

We've all been promised things that have not been delivered, and while I wish that a 'revamp' of the Smuggler profession was tops on the list, the DEVs have a lot of other professions to worry about as well. I'm sure that there are teams working on each 'revamp', and that some teams just work faster and/or better than others.

Having a tantrum only makes us seem immature; a true Smuggler IMHO would be a patient opportunist. I want to have the profession fixed to it's full potential as much as the next person, and I'm willing to wait a little longer for it. I just hope it's worth it...
