Thread: Squad Leader Revamp??? WT....?

You still need to be happy for other professions who haven't had any attention (rangers and SL especially). They are our brothers and sisters in the revolution to slay all the jedi.....uhh., I mean in keeping this game alive through professions not jedi or jedihunters.
Many from the SL and Ranger community have supported us in our efforts to receive a "revamp", and I for one am glad they are getting their day in the sun. We have had our "revamp", now we just need the content and skills to enjoy that content, otherwise we are set...let them enjoy it. In fact, do better, have a drink with them and join the celebration. That's the kind of commaraderie that makes this profession forum the best there is.

Ok. I'm an ent, I'm a tailor, and I'm a jedi. I want smugglers to have a revamp. They need it. Badly. Same with SL. Both have been promised it, and so far, it hasn't been delivered. All your post did, however, was make me think : 'Does that guy know how to spellcheck?'

Most smugglers do not care if our profession is near the BOTTOM of the list, as long asthe non-Jedi profs get the attentionthey so desperately need before moving on to more and more Jedi-centric publishes and expansions. Heck, Rangers and Commandos need love as soon if not sooner than smugglers. Once we all get our 'proper' revamps...then move on to Jedi. Jedi is the end-game for many players. Great, I understand that. Its not for me, but I do get it. But I say this: the end-game means nothing, if the middle-game is completely broken.

For some funny feeling, which defies logic, i think that we will get smuggling in the next expansion pack. The devs have not said it cause there trying to work the code, and keep the servers up and dont want to get our hopes up. but i have one of those crazy feelings that, we might get what we want. its like watching baseball and you can say hmmmm this guy is going to hit a home run, but he dosent, but the time you dont say but you just think it he does. or am I jsut hopeful?

Ehh, not worth arguing - you're absolutely right that it's been promised FOREVER. Find me a profession other than Jedi that hasn't been promised something and neglected, though. Seems like you want them to revamp things in the order promised... imo the order of the promise is irrelevant to where it lies in terms the devs priorities. Just because our revamp was promised before the CU doesn't mean it was "wrong" to push the CU - which affected and theoretically benefitted all players - before getting to a smugler revamp - somehting that mainly just affects us.

Well, you DO want the (hypothetical/eventual) smuggler revamp to include space, don't you? I know I do, so I'd have to agree with the decision to do JTL first. I can understand your gripe with ROTW coming before our revamp, though I don't share it - I've really enjoyed Kashyyyk and the higher end content. Expansion of the Jedi infuriates me to no end, however...

How long has it been again?
Seriously, I for one view the recent CH and upcoming SL revamps as a huge positive. At least they're revamping borked professions w/o putting it all on hold for EotJ. And I can understand getting those out of the way - I mean neither require adding new types of missions or especially unique content to be designed, written and coded. Seems like those two involved more numbers tweaking than creation of something brand new - which is what we require.

I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about this as well. Although that may be more due to the fact that I haven't been around long enough to become jaded and cynical. However, if the new expansion is only the Adventures of Obi-Wan and the l33t Jedi Squad then perhaps I'll waste my time watching NY Ranger games and catching up on my reading.

It's funny to me..... Is this the smuggler forums? Hmm no one wants the smuggler revamp wow, your a smuggler and think that we dont deserve the revamp that was promised us 2 yrs ago. You think that its ok. I know you've read the links to the history of smuggler promises and belive that we are fools to want what was promised us? And sure I bet that content that will come out of all and any of the expansions in the near or far future will be benifical to the smuggler theme and why should we want them to revamp us till they come out aswell, why hell lets just wait 5 yrs for our revamp ,,, ya know just in case they have something come out with something that may benifit us, oh wait........ Lets just be the last revamp in the games history... right before SWG 2 comes out and we have to start all over like EQ2... will that make you happy? Screw that wake up! You are damn complacent when it come to letting sony lie and screw you around on things promiced you/us when it comes to smuggler, that is untill someone complains about it, then you want to rally the flag in the name of SONY. How about you go hang yourself, If you put asmuch effort in sending a msg to sony that we arnt happy as you did flaming me for wanting our promiced update, they might pay us attention, or maybe thats why they have ignored us for soooo long? because ppl like you show them that the smugglers are a complacent lot and need not to be concerned. Its ok just put the smuggler revamp on the back burners for the umptenth time they dont care.???
