Thread: Do Smugglers have any control at all on if its a speed slice or DMG slice?
OMG lets not start this again, Slicing is random, sorry it has been proven time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time and time again.

Any Smuggler that says they can "reliably provide one type of slice over another, or that they can promise a high quality slice" should be willing to guarentee there work. Say $250k if they fail.
I charge $150k per "guaerenteed" slice, but there are conditions. And the conditions exist becasue slicing is NOT "completely random" and you can increase your chances of deteriming the type of slice and even reasonably predict the %. I do miss because as best I can tell there is a randomness factor to the math, but in the end I make a VERY healthy profit.

Go spend over a million credits on 14 weapons, and just hoping for a couple dmg slices which you probly have a 50% of getting on ever weapon, and then watch a smuggler slice them as you get 1/14 dmg sliced, and thats only a 20% dmg sliced, you would be ticked off to.
You are just proving more and more how dumb you really are. Hey ever think of selling those guns to a Nov Pistoleer since they need speed? Yea you may not get 80k back but you may get 60k fo rthem. And yes its possible since I have done it many times with slices people dont want.
Your guns are far from messed up but since you didnt get what YOU wanted you thought you woudl come on here Whine to us call us stupid for telling you the truth about something that some of us have been doing for over a year now........... F'ing Clown Shoes....
P.S. Nothing is "Guaranteed" in this game.
Council Member of the SHJODude you could have purchased MANY already-damage-sliced FWGs for that. If you are willing to pay that much money to get a damage sliced weapon...buy it already sliced...its the only way to ensure you get the slice you want.

Sorry if this is repeating something already posted but I haven't gone through the entire thread yet.
I didn't see which profession you are but you may not realize that without SEAs, no one can fire pistol specials at the cap with a 1.5 weapon. A MBH (+80)with no other mods needs a 1.3 speed or better while a master pistoleer (+74)needs a 1.1 speed or better to be able to fire every pistol special at the cap. If your speed mod is above +85, yeah, you don't get as much out of it but if it is below +85, you are still more effective with that weapon now than you were before the slice. But regardless of your speed mod, the weapon was not ruined and is in fact better than before the slice.

Bet that WS has you at the top of his friends list now!You are right but the actual numbers needed to hit the cap are 1.0 for a pistoleer and 1.7 for the BH.

But if you are going to be ticked off, you should be ticked off at the randomness of slicing in general and not at someone that has no control over the result.
