So. In a nutshell. A non-capitalized 's' has completely changed the meaning of the word.


.... Is this the sort of thing they teach in the public school systems now? 'Cos if so, I'm glad my teachers skipped that meeting. This just plain sucks. Or is that Sucks? I forget.

I completely agree with the original post. Only people with the Smuggler profession in SWG should be able to smuggle or be associated with any sort of Smuggler's ring in-game.
Now to continuity problems posed by Karrde's Smuggler's Alliance in-game:

Talon Karrde'sSmuggler's Alliance will only see the light of day in the days of the New Republic. AFAIK, not even it's predecessor, the Smuggler's Coalition should be in place yet, unless you count Jorj Car'das' group that, but then again, Karrde wouldn't be running it, altough Car'das' always stayed ins secret and might have had Karrde pose as the frontman.Under the lead of Talon Karrde (who inherited it after Car'das' went legit), it started operating officially and more in the open sometime after the death of Jabba the Hutt in Return of the Jedi. Since this game is supposed to be playing in the timeline between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, there is no way there would be such presence shown by the Smuggler's Alliance. I always wonder why the developers can't do simple homework (especiallysince information's been so easy to find on the web).

What the hell is this talk about the time line being incorrect? OMG next thing you'll be telling me your seeing jedi running around everywhere.

any news about someone eventually acknowledging this issue?

i mean we have been somewhat expressive upon this one for a while and we didn't see anything, do they intend to do something? is there a single chance they change the SA name?

I think we will have our own item smuggling system with the revamp. If not, then the profession goes to waste.

that won't solve the naming issue, which is the topic of the thread i believe, we know content may come one day, what we don't know is if we're going to compte on smuggling missions with pilots

So who's done the Master SA mission?


When you talk to the Rebel giving the mission, the player talking to him says "I am just a simple smuggler, what can I do?"


You don't know how conflicted I was when I was happy that I reached the mission, but exteremely pissed that they actually have those words coming out of players mouths.



"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114
