Dunno, are they going to become a little more available? the Protone Carbine is a cakewalk to get, the Rifle...........eh, not quite so easy.



I'm aSmuggler/Commando ....heck even I don't want me in the group sometimes.

You use concussion shot and the mob gets hit after the daze + root effect stuck. The Daze breaks, and the root still sticks.

There are missions in which you "deliver an item while hostiles attack you" in every profession. I still don't consider [Smuggler's Alliance] pilots to be Smugglers, nor 'Smuggling' - at least not any more than Rebel Pilots or Imperial Pilots might sometimes "smuggle", with a lower-case s - JFreeman - 10/6/04

The way I understand it now- this is how it is- however I would MUCH prefer the root stayed after the daze.

See the part "All roots do not break on damage" ? That means that concussion shot, with its daze AND root, will have the daze portion break on damage, but *not* the root.

Also, he said that Panic Shot was a daze, which allows you to *move* but do no action. So Panic Shot will let people run around, they just can't do anything until it either wears off, or someone damages them.

With Concussion Shot, the target cannot move OR take any action, but if they are damaged, they'll be able to take action but still *not* move.

I'm pretty sure you misread him, Max. If any effect has a Daze element, then damage will break the entire effect. Ie, the Daze *and* the Root.

now i got it hehe ... as a 5 year eq player there is a misunderstanding what a daze or mezz should do. a mezz like i used to know automatically roots the target in place. i never heard of a mezz that allows you to run around before so i assumed it would work like the mezz i knew. lets see how usefull panic shot is.

Wrong wrong wrong. He said right there: "All roots do not break on damage".

Concussion Shot has a daze AND a root. The root will *not* break on damage. The daze will. When he said "any effect with a Daze in it will break the entire effect on damage", the "effect" portion of that sentence is referring to the effects of Daze, not Root.

Repeat for emphasis, "All roots do not break on damage."

They are not sperate effects, it is all tied up in the same effect, if one breaks you lose the entire effect.
