I've got to raise my prices, i'm charging 100cr/% on Kettemoor, which i hear is the going rate. Guess i need to get together with the other Kettemoor smugglers and start hiking our rates.

We are criminals after all, we might as well do some rakettering. It will be easy if all of us are on the same page.

At a kettemoor master smuggler myself, I am all for a price hike.

I have been charging a flat 3k per slice, but starting tonight that will change.

I will mull over if I want to just raise the flat rate, or go with one of the high % figures I saw.

We will see what kind of reaction I get this weekend. I've tried to talk to other master smugglers in game and it's hard to tell who the real smugglers are and who the temp/holo smugglers are.

For close friends and large bulk orders I usually do 3k per slice and for everyone else I do either 4 or 5k depending on how rude they were when they asked me. If its "Slice my stuff now" then up the prices go. One of my favourite things to do (and for some reason I get this allot) when people ask me to "splice" their gear I just blink at them and say "I have no idea what you are talking about" and move on.

I'm a Master Smuggler on Gorath. I too have been charging 3K per slice but only because that is what everyone else on Gorath is charging per slice. I enjoy slicing and being able to slice, but i don't want to be a "slice monkey" either. Since we have no other means of making money (spices being a gimp product now), I find that i have to embrace the only means i have for making good money. I would definately rather be running smuggling missions than hanging around Coronet for hours. I want to friggin' smuggle.

Your Sig reads "Anything for a profit: That's the Smugglers motto!" I say wrong sir. "Anything for a revamp: That's the Smugglers cry" would be better.

I always charge 5K per slice with no qualifications. I don't have problems getting business and many times the customers offer to pay double or triple my fee when I score above 30% on a slice of agood weapon.

I tend to charge 5k for average slices (20-30%)

under 20% for free

and over 35% i give a hint I'd like some more.

But as i'm not into commercial slicing i don't get a lot of complaints, heck i normally get more tipped than i charge

When I get asked to slice, I hit my new macro...

/r Sorry, but I destroyed all my slicing tools when the devs delayed the Smuggler Revamp until 2005. :/

I have also directed some people to another Smuggler I know that just got Master and is happy for the business.

I have only gotten supportive words so far from the dozen or so people who have asked me for slices and received my reply. I think it is great though that Smugglers are getting together and raising their prices for slicing.

Good luck to you guys, your services are definitely worth at least 10K per slice. Making someone's damage output higher, and lowerering their encumbrance, helps them so much for so long it is certainly a fair price to ask for.

Edit: P.S. if anyone else is having difficulty posting, just hit the Submit Button on a blank post and edit it. It is the only way I can post right now, but hey... it works.
