I missed the announment where we all wanted and had to become jedi to play this game. 'cause that's what I got reading the game informer article. GI kept pumping him with good questions that we wish we could ask he goes about saying 'everyone should be a jedi or at least be licking jedi heals 95% of the time.
Two publishes dedicated to jedi. 'We wanted to fix hologrinding.' Sure guys. You put in hologrinding JUST so the less popular proffesions would get attention. Anyone know the two most common holos? Chef and ID. I'm sure that's pure coincidence. Well, it backfired. Ruined our economy, good job guys. Do what every other tried and true MMORPG did. Break it for a few months, refuse to admit it, fix the stuff people care about, then say 'it JUST broke, let's completly revamp it while we're at it.'
Sorry for the rantiness and lack of grammatical correctness. I'm just sick of it.

I agree with you guys. Who wants to be a Jedi?
Here's my reasoning:
Luke was whiney, kissed his sister and gloated over it to Han, lost his hand in a fight with his father that almost cost him his life, tried to kill his father, spoke toghosts, then became a celibate monk & started his own semi-religious cult.
Han always had a plan, could talk his way out of almost anything (with NO Jedi mind tricks!), could one-shot kill stormtroopers, got the girl, saved the Jedi poster boy's butt numerous times,and in the books became the father to the next generation of Jedi.
So, the question isn't why don't we want to be a Jedi like everyone else. The questions is why don't they want to be Smugglers like us?

Looking forward to the jump to light speed expansion, to have my Smugglers run 
And ofcourse cant wait the smugglers revamp, hope it will worth, otherwise will drop that game... nowdays smugglers sucks

I can say without a doubt that I've swung a saber in any numerous number of SW Jedi games. Been there and have done that.
A smuggler I have yet to play to this day, 'cept for a title saying as much.
I've gotten pretty good "pretending" or "roleplaying" my exploits as a scoundrel. If only ...

A Smuggler since the beggining, and a smuggler I will be at the end. Zero holocrons fulfilled, Jedi not interesting to me what so ever. In this time period we are playing in, smugglers make up way more of the attitude of the universe than jedi do. If we were playing in the Episode I to III era, jedi would play a bigger part, but not now. This game was flawed when jedi were allowed in the game. Vader hunted down and killed all the jedi, with only Yoda, Obi Wan, and Luke slipping through his fingers.Well you could include a handful of others who are aware of their potential (Leia, Mara Jade, Etc.), but nothing to the extent of the numbers that are running around in our tainted world. You want to fix the game? Eliminate all the jedi, give everyone a second character per server, and fix what is currently wrong with the game (i.e. combat, GCW, professions, etc.)
JTL may turn out to be a really cool expansion, but the expectation of it may not be enough to keep me in the game.

I set out to be a smuggler ever since i bought the game back in spetember 2003, im still waiting to become (what i think of) a smuggler.

I bought this game to be a Master Smuggler PILOT!!!!! I was very disheartened when I realized there was no space in the game. Soon my going have to fork out more money for a expansion be have a character that is still broken. I seem to remember them saying about a year ago they were going to revamp smuggler.....I wonder if the guy doing had a heart attack and died, and nobody can read his notes.
