I have been playing for two months. the only thing i am is a smugger. I have no other professions!!
I have gotten so mad at the jedi revamp, that im thinking about taking up CM just to kill jedi...no one else can!! Then I will really be able to sell poison. lol

SIGN. I read about this game JUST after launch, hearing how you could be a Bounty Hunter, a Pistoleer... a SMUGGLER. I bought it for Smuggler and was on just a couple days after launch.

i bought it to be smuggler when i got the game in november and general starwarsy experience
sadly none have been to my liknig but the ppl are fun tho 
no longermaster smuggler not even any pistol skills as i became too fed up with the lack of stuff i could do with smuggler
( slices being gimped, FD and the specials nerfed or sucky , having to go pistoleer to be any good with pistols etc)
miss being smuggler tho 
and i forgotten how to change mah sig

I bought it thinking I'd be a smuggler, and the instant I saw a Master last July I was in love. I've been "smuggling" ever since (when I wasn't quitting in disgust over lies about our class/the holocron system) and I'll quit again before I'd drop our profession for one that works.

When I first heard of the game I wasn't sure of all the professions you could be. It just said you can be a ton from jedi-bounty hunter to dancer. I wasn't sure you could even be a smuggler.
What really sold me on the game was when I heard they would be adding ships later in the game's life (didn't know it would be like a year anda half later, but that's cool
When I read the manual I was like, ok smuggler is me! And I've been one ever since I made it to novice smuggler 2 weeks after launch.
Took 6 months off from Nov- May and since last month i've been running around again with my master smuggler character and I'm enjoying it again! I've never mastered any other prof.
The coolest thing I can remember was reading the SWG Special Edition Art book and going "wow, I can't wait to be able to fly some of those ships!"
Now it won't be too long untill I can own my very own starship! very cool!

Just a Smuggler, so much so that I have a Master on Tempest and on Valcyn my Smuggler is 2-4-2-4.
I never wanted to play a Jedi, enough Lucasarts Jedi games already out there if I wished to do that.
I never PvP, I simply wanted to smuggle stuff for players.
Get boarded by Customs, searched but know that my slicing skills were good enough that they would never notice the fake holoseal on the container of spice.

exact reason why I got this game. Master Smuggler is the only proffession Ive mastered. Ive had no desire to Master any other, Although Im working on pistoleer to get my pistol skills up.
I never even gave Jedi a thought. Never used a holo, just coloecte dthem. Im looking forward to the revamp as well as RTLS. You will see me out in space blasting away at Imp blockades or running through them at top speed, with my illegal cargo onboard......well I wish.

Honestly, I didn't have anything in particular I wanted to be when I bought SWG. I was looking for a good mmorpg and heard mixed things about swg so I gave it a look at the store, thought it looked neat, and bought it.
Tried ranger cause that was my preferred class in other mmo's but found it boring.
Tried commando since I have a very aggresive streak and like to see things explode. I liked it, stuck with it for a while, got fed up with only being good with the flamer and getting yelled at for using it in groups (xp hog) so I dropped it.
Tried medic while I was doing commando but the crafting took too much effort and I've never been a big money maker so buying stims was no good.
Read good things about using last ditch with a launcher pistol so decided to try out smuggler. Fell in love with being a smuggler despite it's lack of actually smuggling (I'm still decided whether or not all the grinding just made my brain snap) so I've been a smuggler since. I've had quite a few combinations with smuggler, even so far as Master Smuggler/Master Dancer, but I've been a smuggler since I found the trainer to get me novice.
That being said, ever since I heard the first rumor of the space expansion, I've been drooling to fly. JtLS is what has kept this game active for me in all honestly. While I enjoy the ground game, to hell with fixing it first... I want my god damned ships! Yeah, I know... logically the ground game should be fixed before an expansion but like another poster posted somewhere on these huge forums; With the combat and GCW changes being as potentially game breaking as they are, I'ld rather have space to have fun with while they clean up any messes they make.

I bought this game to be a BH/Smuggler. Be the ultimate outlaw. Now it seems that it is sorta possible, but still not whatI envisioned. I saw myself BH PC rebels and then taking thier illegal loot and I'd sell it in the black market for good cash.
