Ok, Here's my throw in for this.

I have been a Master Smug for, good god, Since near begining of the game. I will NEVER give it up I don't care what a little blue Box tells me. But..... As long as I can keep Smuggler I will try for my Holo Stuff.

So anyways, my next Holo tells me I need Master Brawler. I think Hey, thats not too tough, last Holo Said Swordsman so I already have 2 of the 4 lines. So I guess I will need a plain basic wooden Staff. Lets check the Bazzar

/sigh Guess I will buy a metal staff and Plink Gubbers for the next 4 hours.

I get a Tell from a Guy that wants some slicing done. I think "Hmm could work out for me"

me: Tell you what, I will slice all of your stuff for Free if you can find me a Simple Wooden Staff

Guy: Just a Wooden One? Thats It?

Me: Thats it. All of your slicing for free

Guy: Ok Deal

Me: <waits for 30 min while plinking gubbers with my Metal Staff for 3-4 damage a hit>

Guy: <30 min later> Umm I am really sorry, There are No artisans In Coronet that have the stuff to make one, There is nothing on the Bazzar, I can't seem to Find one I have looked everywhere.

me: LOL!!! Come out to me and I will still slice for free, Thanks for looking.

I Ended up slicing 3 guns for him for free and he added me on as his Guilds POC for slicing. Cool Guy! (:

Sometimes I hate these forums. I just spent 30 minutes adding a long encounter here and Submitted it, and it just disappeared into thin air. Oh well... keep em coming... I enjoy reading everyone who DOES get them in!

This happened a couple months back, can't remember the name, sorry. Not a 'cusomer from the Pit' tale though...

I'm out hunting with a friend out of Mos Entha, I'm at Slicing2 or 3 at the time as I recall.

Got a tell from a guy asking if I could slice a weapon, andhow muchwould I charge. I volunteered that I could slice them for 2k per slice with 100% accuracy (I had like 1 crate of Molecular Clamps I'd found for sale, I kept them for paying customers and friends, for "xp" slices I used FANs). I prefer the flat rate approach, it usually leads to fewer misunderstandings over price. Not this time though...

So I did the slice and got a 29% slice - can't even remember speed or damage. Itraded his gun back and saw a /tip received message, wished him luck and logged off for the night a little while later.

Next day I log in and notice my credit balance was strangely large... check my email and he'd tipped me 2k per PERCENT not 2k total. So I started having this great moral dilemna - try to refund the money or just assume the guy had an awful lot of cash and didn't care. I'd decided to try and get the money back when I crashed to desktop. I logged back in, and I had one of those wonderful "rollback" crashes - my chat log was missing from the last couple hours of gameplay,plus I'd deleted the email tip notification =(

Im not a smuggler yet, 20k more unarmed xp and im there. but ayway im a huntmaster in ranger and so this guy wants me to track down someone as a bounty.

This story is about my own stupidity:

I'm doing the Jabba missions so I can get the Featherweight schematic. I'm on the Bib mission where you have to kill a bounty hunter, whichcons red to me. So I ride up to him, he aggros and we go at it. I do the usual Smuggler routine: LB, PS then spam LD until he's dead. As I'm spamming LD, I noticed I'm only doing 400 damage, 600 damage and so on. I'm thinking "Damn, this guy is tough". It takes me so long to kill him that the KD timer runs out, so I can actually do LB and PS a second time. After what seems like a titanic struggle I finally kill him, and I'm feeling good about myself having come through a tough fight wounded but alive.

That's when I notice Ihad beenusing my D18 instead of my Republic Blaster. Doh!

I got a tell last night from one of my "regular" customers, askingme to come to their house on Dant to slice a set of armor, and saying that they had a friend there with some armor also. Since they are a regular customer, and I didnt want to lose future business, I hopped the first ship to Dant and checked the waypoint they had sent... 3000+ m out in the badlands. Oh well, no problem. I'm just goofing around anyway... no real agenda for the night . I hopped my swoop and headed to the house.

Sure enough there was my customer with their friend. She had a full set of composite to slice so I did hers first. Nine pieces, EIGHT GOOD ENCUMBERANCE SLICES!She didn't say much, so I don't know whether she wanted encumberance or effectiveness, and to be honest, I was afraid to ask. I know most people want encumberance, but with all the new foods and with buffs,encumberancemay be less important now.

OK, so she pays me and I turn to her friend. Unfortunately the whole time I was reporting the slices to her, he was listening and saying things like "Encumberance... that's what I want too." and "Ooh.. good slice.. get me some of those!" etc. Well he passes me two pieces of composite, and I guess I don't have to say what slices I got on them (but I will): Effectiveness 16% and Effectiveness 30%. I apologized even though we both knew I had no say in the matter. He was very nice and had even cheered after both slices. I really appreciated him trying to make me feel better.

But here's the part I that made me smile: I thanked them, they responded graciously, and I went outside the house to head back to the outpost. They obviously thought I was gone and started talking "out loud" to each other while I was outside the house getting my bike out.

-- "some good slices overall"

-- "yeah, but that 16% was pretty **edit**tty"

-- "yeah...."

It made me appreciate him more for trying to make me feel better when on the inside he was probably cursing a blue streak. I didn't hang around to hear what else they had to say.But it made me think how cool it could be if you could read people's real thoughts all the time. Or maybe not.

Suddenly, a guy called Skane (Radiant, be warned) /tells me:

SK:Hi, do you know how the IC is going to affect sliced goods /spices?

Rekk: Yeah, the thing goes like this...

So I explain all I know about it.

SK: But i can't live without my sliced!

Rekk: Then you'll have to stay away from scans

SK: Could you help me out? I must reach Imp Outpost on Dantooine

Rekk: ok

I needed the money badly...

SK: I need some things smuggled... how could you take me?

At this point, i'm imagining the guy in my inventory,

Rekk: Mmm... that's not possible, You'd had to trust me your stuff, and we would trade at arrival.

SK: You'd do it for 50K?

That almost made me cry from joy... 50K!

Rekk: Let me think about it...

Rekk: Ok

SK: I'm an Undercover Officer. YOU ARE UNDER ARREST!

Rekk: Beg Your Pardon?

So, this must be one of the rules of the game I don't know. Let's see how things turn out.

SK: I'm going to report you to the Imperial Court

Rekk: So, who runs that court?

SK: The Emrporer (spelled like that)

Rekk: Ok, tell him to come here and arrest me

SK: IF YOU GIVE ME 1K, I WON'T REPORT

Rekk: I'd rather see what happens after you report... However, I can report you on offering me freedom at 1K

SK: I'm a corrupt officer.

Ok, thanks for the info. That was smart, dude.

Rekk: Good.

SK: Give me 1K or i'll report you

Rekk: I've heard better ways of asking for money. You could have gotten 5K doing missions while talking to me.

SK: Give me 1K

Rekk: No way

So, this guy appears in front of me. Meanwhile, I had been attending customers. I was slicing weapons.

SK: Stop the smuggling

Rekk: (Shouting in spatial) 24% Speed slice!

Hey, it was a good slice.

SK: You're under arrest, follow me.

Rekk: I'd rather let them take me to prison

SK: I'm a bad cop

Rekk: Congratulations

SK: Thanks to your capture, the Empire will forget what I did to that 13 year old kid.

Rekk: Ok, that went too far. Welcome to my ignore list.

Even better, what prison did he think he was gonna take you to? What a retard. I'm all for roleplaying but you should probably clear it with people before trying something like that.

Pretty funny today I get a tell:

Newb: "I have 1 million credits, can I get 9k fp???"

Me: "Hold on a second please."

Newb: "K"

*I go off and calculate how much he'd get for 1 million credits with my 14k/100fp price. It's around 7200 fp.*

Me: "I'm sorry, at my price of 14k/100fp you would only get around 7200 fp."

Newb: "What? **edit**. That's BS! I can get 8k for less tha 1 mil from another smuggler! Forget you!"

Me: "Well ok, then why are you bothering me? Just go to him unless he will no longer sell to you."

Newb: "Bah you suck. Forget you!"

Me: "Welcome to ignore. Have a nice day!"
