I guess that means that it is ok to punish legitimate grinders who work for combat xp for trade in as opposed to the grenade throwing lamers....who exploited the system...lets just screw everyone at the same time and not try and fix the grenade xp issue...it's much better to kill 2 birds with 1 stone...we can stop the exploiting and slow down those people who are grinding fs to become jedi....that way they will probably keep playing and paying...no matter what we do to them.

Oh get off your high horse. Say that to the freshmen in california who are going to have to wait will thier 18 to get drivers licenses. The softmores (like my brother) are just fine and can get thiers at 16 and a half.

I've been playing this game for over 2 years...I know a lot about gimped profession. I am a smuggler....I was a ranger....a droid engineer...a bio engineer....and I never even attempted to try squad leader. I was a wookiee...who ground out master combat professions solo on tatooine...before there were any type of buffs. Don't talk down to me just because I don't have a 5000 post count jr. I have likely been playing this game as long as most people here. Before you go and talk smack about a person...make sure you get your facts straight.

and btw....where I live...u can get your liscence at 16

Ouch. I feel for you. I was a squad leader once. Now that toon is my Merchant/WS/Artisan/Mule/Bank, ect. 2+ years into the game and not only is SL still borked, but the CU also screwed melee professions (when is the last time you saw a FENCER running around?).

It happens, but only ocmbined with others. You know thats the only elite triple master you can have? TKA, Fencer, swordsmen.

Its quite handy.

P.S. SL isn't so bad if you hand pick your guild's proffesions...

Its so bitter-sweet to hear you say that. On one hand, it means we might actually be getting it, on the other, I dare not think that for a moment, chancing that it probably wont happen and I am disapointed again.

Oh good, because this discussion chat session told us nothing we didnt already know. If anything, I feel it was mostly to defend that the expansion isnt a Jedi centric themepark. We learned nothing new.

If the devs were really in touch, they'd realize we dont want this. We want a solid game. We're upset because you have staff that could be working on these issues, but instead, you have them working on an expansion we never asked for.

I remember when Smedley said in November that they hired 20 new people to work on SWG. You and I know thats not whats happening here.

So quit beating around the bush, give it to us straight for once and tell us whats REALLY going on.

I suspect the higher ups know this game is borked beyond the point they're willing to repair. This is why they're focusing on expansions for quick money because they know they're not making it through subscriptions.

This is such a poor reasoning for this kind of business practice! If they fix the game, the subscriptions will come... and stay.

I guess I'm mostly upset because I've recently started playing EQ2. I see a SIGNIFICANT amount of effort in EQ2, a game that couldnt HOPE to approach the popularity of the Star Wars legacy. Whats the sense in this?

Is it just me or is it really short sighted to brag about selling 1 million copies of SWG, but have barely 200k subscribers? You know what that means? It means 1 in 5 people are able to tollerate "the total experience" of SWG. The rest have cancelled accounts.

Not only is SOE shooting themselved in the wallet, they're destroying their credibility as a leading, cutting edge game producing entity in a HUGE way.

Really thanks for speaking for me, and for others i know in game who have discussed the forthcoming expansion and decided we want it and are looking forward to it.

Just because YOU dont want the expansion, doesnt mean no one wants it. There are plenty of people looking forward to it, i know i will be pre odering

We're Charley Brown, the Dev's are lucy and the Smuggler revamp is the football.

Every time we think, this is the time were gona get to kick the football Lucy pulls it away at the last minute.
