Thread: HELP! Smuggler correspondent: exploit or its really supose to work that way?
We've been over this to some extent before in another thread; I know there are some specials/abilities without apparent counters and I don't know if these are the exception to the rule, or if the system has failed and they're issues that need addressing. Regardless though, there are supposed to be counters for FD.

way to go proving your noobness...pore-curn UH3 was mainly good for blinding....it sucked for damage......
IF you had a clue you would know:
combo1 was the prefered move vs jedi, headhit vs non jedi
combo ate through steak like mad
UH3 had a higher chance to blind then ua blind, and due to random pool hits was inferior to headhit and UC1
macro's we're only good for pve, or some moves you always combined, looping macro's with 1 special were formorons that got whooped by unbuffed players....
want me to continue? I knew pre-curb better than most people hell I've only been back 1 month and I'm pretty sure I know more about the new system than you probably even will......

I'm sorry, but I just cannot imagine going back to pre-cu. Sure there are problems, now, but there were problems then. Don't you remember how combat was? It was all macroed. I never had to think, never had a chance to use my superior intellect. Who had the fastest and best gun won.
COMPLETE AND UTTER NONSENSE
and spewing that you just proved your "superior intellect" is non-existent....
pre-curb combat was much harder to master than the current slow-motion healing-centric combat, the really dumbed down the combat....and you seem to be part of the target audience for the dumbing
Please lets not forget what we left behind with the CU!
1. Melee no longer rules ALL(neither do Jebi)
2. Dizzy + KNock Down = win still is still around, just a lot harder to do now.
3. Smugglers are about 300% better then they were CU, whether S.O.E. Ever keeps their promisestoo Smugglies or not.

Yes my Fencer/CM Template took a lot of thought bud.
braindead FOTM templates always do....
you should have tried....
pvp'ing jedi hunting with only MBH, using an LLC as primary weapon (oh my I sucked so much I even managed to help a WS make a speedcapped LLC for me)
going commando and pvp with it SUCCESFULLY (there was no better unbuffed combat profession than commando pre-curb)
try anything which isn't cookie cutter and actually takes some effort to make work, unlike fencer/cm
pre-curb there just were A LOT more options than right now, if you never saw that then that's your shortcoming, not mine...as I did ALL of the above..and NEVER had any DOC in my templates (and still did very well)...while you were busy playing a braindead dodging dotwhore I was actually playing a challenging fun game.
ah...and I don't think I lost to a single fencer/cm the last6 months I played, no damage with your stunbaton + too low dots = I win with a5 second LLC kill....or some decent stacked flame dots/HPBC beams
I ranaroundOVERT and most of the time unbuffed for those last6 months(being one of the only faction smugglers on my server), cm/fencer clowns where the least of my worries
to the CM/fencer person: in this game, but also IRL you are mainly limited by yourself...seems you limited yourself petty harsh here (to prevent a strained brain?)

And this is my speculation, but the real reason certian moves have no counter is...........
Because LA rushed the CU, just like they rushed the release of the game. Remember it was Lucas who wanted this game released early, not SOE.

I never lost. ever.
Fart!!!,,,, well I took FeignDeath because I'm not a PvPer, I'm a doc/crafter/merchant, I like to rez my guildies now and then, and combat characters are declared some of the time,,,, but FD is kinda worthless if any PvPer worth his salt can hit a button, force you up, and kill you,,, really does defeat the purpose of a successful Feign Death (the counter is unsuccessful attempts).
If some silly button counter is goint to undo FeignDeath they might as well remove it entirely....
yeah I'm pissed, so I'm glazing over the fact that FD still works PvE,,, but damn it is frusterating making a template while nothing has stayed the same since CU,,,,, respec season should have been offered after the GD game was fixed,,, and apparantly it is still not 'fixed'
my 2-cents,,,, err, 20$ a month or whatever

PvP needs a TON of work, not just feign death. Sure its the piece of the broken puzzle we own, but its insignificant compared to the overall screwed-up-ness of the PvP/GCW.
Like I said, the CU is not perfect, but we are closer than we were before with very little being over powered (there are some underpowerd proffs, but I'd rather have that then one or two overpowered ones).
Have fun, and dont have an anurism when you reply here monky man ![]()

I hate to say, and for the record I believe pre-CU was better, but I know we wont be going back to it... so i guess, making the best of a game im addicted to is the reason im back. Well, originally it was to sell off my stuff and make money, but I talked to a guy I knew who still played, PvPed a bit, and got back into it.

But anyways, back to what I was going to say. RyFord, you must have had amazingly good help, if with a fencer/CM template you never died. You had crap for defenses, sure CoB was ok, but a master rifleman/stacker would have killed you in a heartbeat. As would have a swordsman/stacker, and a fencer/stacker (they dont deal mind damage, but with bodyhit3 and an acklay baton, they could deal out damage very fast). You're DOT's would have been ok, but by the end with all the different foods, it was possible to have a 4.5k mind pool that regens faster than a poison ticks after they nerfed them. The rifleman would have stayed 60meters away at all times, and the melee templates would have kept you on your back the entire time.
I had almost 1000 uses of Spider Venom Poison and Spider Venom Diseases. MNy Poisons ticked for 1100 and my diseases were 400. With synthsteak I was unbeatable. Also I had 2000doc to heal myself against anyone poisoning me and I DID NOT stand in the open. I always used LOS to keep people from wearing out my mind. My Helmet was 43% stun, my PSG 45% and was ADKed, and I had Dodge Food and Syn always ready.
It was simple really.
