This post won't be deleted because that would mean that someone from SOE, be it a Dev or Moderator, would actually have to come to the Smuggler forum. And we all know how often that happens...

Oh sweet saints of revamps,...I just got one of those feelings reading this. Not the kind you get at a really good strip club, but the kind you get after having your buoys kicked into your main cargo hold.

I read Terneque01's post yesterday evening, and I was interested in the change he mentioned to chain rooting as I haven't had the opportunity to test it in Publish 18 yet. So I asked about it before commenting on the rumour from Fan Fest of Roots breaking on damage which I had already heard about.
I found his following post (and subsequent PM's) to be a bit too confrontationalfor my liking and replied with a sarcastic comment, I shouldn't have done... and I apologise.
I checked the thread this morning and Terneque01 and Iexchanged cordial posts about how I was not aware of anyplans to changeRoots to break on damage and I haven't looked at it for the past eight hours so I don't know what went on in the time it was deleted.
Sorry you got such a bad response to your post, if you want to bring something to my personal attention feel free to send me a PM.
He did sell me my AV21 power thingimy though.

Too bad you didn't give Ternque01 a little more credit for not being a troll and actually trying to help. He's a good egg, worthy of the best stout and pie and is only trying to do the right thing...if the non-jedi professions don't start putting their foot down we will all be nerfed into being slaves, I mean content for the jedi or at best we will all become spectators for when the jedi play.
I didn't see the thread in question because it was deleted, but my experience with him in the past leads me to conclude this is one of those misunderstandings blown out of proportion. Hope people can see through all the emotion to see what he was really trying to do. Smugglers are in the same boat as you, we are not against you. In fact, a large number of Smugglers are or have been Pistoleers.

Im sorry, and maybe i've been misreading into things...but since when did Smugglers become the official Jedi stopper profession? I really wish folks would stip using our skills against Jedi as a barometer (sp) This calls unecessary attention to Smugglers in general.

Too late...we've gone from the forgotten step child who lives alone in the basement to the neighborhood punching bag...we got BH's slapping Stormies to get incapped so they can use LD to take out a mark, BH's dueling each other in front of a mark to get their stats low so they can LD a mark...the list goes one...you have to give it to BHs for being so creative, but in the end we'll get nerfed and they will all drop smuggler and go on to some other profession...sigh..it's sad...for a short while I could actually do something with smuggler in combat, now we're going to be pushed back to our pre-CU complete uselessness...oh well at least we have a revamp coming...right?

Heya, thanks for responding to my thread, but I feel you have completely missed what I was talking about in the post.
At Fan Fest, a developer suggested a nerf to roots and snares so that these states would break on further damage to the target.
I was not talking about a target-side timer which prevents the chaing rooting of a player. I was talking about a nerf that would break roots and snares on further damage to the target. This would MURDER these specials.

Thanks for the support guys. I swear, things getting that ugly was something that I NEVER saw coming.
After this guy called me a moron and said my thread should be deleted, I just lost it and told him off in a PM, but later appologized to the guy. He posted the PM in that thread, which I believe is a big no-no. Isn't that against the rules?
Anyways, thanks for sticking up for me. A ton of them just jumped me for no reason. F*ck, I was trying to help them.
