Anyway, I have a sneaking suspicion that perhaps the art assets seen in this picture were never in the game properly, otherwise we'd have seen them on at least one NPC by now.

I dunno Wes, but either way the artwork and model work has clearly already been done so all they need to do is add the crafting code for it. Seems such a stupid position to be in where one of the biggest items the ENTIRE community has been asking for is sitting somewhere in their archives waiting to get added and 2 years later is still sitting there waiting to get added.

Believe it or not everything for dual wield is in the game and TRE files. It was said at Fanfest that it is complete, they are fixing the animation and trying to work out the balance issue, or the were before the CU.

Believe it when I see it. We've been told far too many times from the dev's that something is finished and just waiting for a publish, nearly finished just needs work, in development whatever, then find out later that it was a complete lie.
Scout trooper armor was in the game from day one.
All of the wanted posters, and Imperial Posters were in the game from day one.
There is still an Acrobat Profession in the game.
There is an almost complete Imperial Star Destroyer in the game files, that was supposed to come out as a publish back in publish 6 or 7.
There are a lot of things that are in the game files. There is another plantet in the files that has been there since launch. All of these things are or were turned off until they wanted to use them.
