Couldn't have been a Master Pistoleer then. He must've had some Bounty-Hunter!! Who knew??

Drugs are good, Drugs are bad
Ask you mom, ask your Dad
Drugs, Drugs, Drugs....
Anyone else remeber that public service message?

Bzzzz wrote:Eh. In order to be drug-dealers, there need to be BUYERS, which are long gone since the Chef revamp. And no, apparently SOE created smugglers when they couldn't think of enough skillboxes for "Slicers." They then added a few lines of random garbage and claimed they'd fix it right after release. Hah!And unfortunately, calling Han a "smuggler" now might be a little optimistic, as apparently he was a "Freelance Pilot." They're the guys that pack illicit cargo into their spaceships and sneak or blast it through the authorities. We.. well apparently, we're gonna be the hippies that sneak backpacks of weed down from the Canadian border. Yay! I think.-Zz (starting to wish that Greedo HAD shot first and solved this whole dilemma)
Han admits to being a smuggler in A New Hope when he tells Obi-Wan as they get out of the hidden floor panels the he "used them for smuggling" but never thought he'd be using them to "smuggle himself". Maybe not a Master Smuggler, but he definately had come to terms with what he does for a living. Carrying passnegers who don't want to be caught; just another thing he's smuggling.
Has isn't limited by any one profession. You can't tell him what to do. Who are you: The Man!? I don't feel I have to explain my art to you, Warren!
(Just kidding, a liitle silly ranting there.)

I do need to say though, that while I don't want to be a drug dealer, I won't begrudeg another for wantint their character to be that. In other postings Iv'e seen, others made a good point in saying there are as many different smugglers as there are people.

Again, "Criminal scum" is a very, very broad definition.
I agree that Smuggler is sort of the catch all for the shady side of Star Wars, leaving the opportunity for someone to choose what kind of criminal scum. What I, and a lot of Smugglers don't like is the instant, synonymous tie between "Smuggler" and "Drug Dealer".

True. But I'd rather we keep the making of spice for those of us that LIKE doing it.
My dream would be a system where smugglers geared to combat take missions and get paid in "raw spice" that they can sell to other smugglers who like making it and selling it. What's to stop one smuggler from doing both? Time. Make them costly in time. Sure one smuggler could do both but it should be easier, and more profitable for more than one smuggler to do so. That's an interdependancy I'd like to see.

I like the spice/smuggler revamp suggestions that include getting NPC missions to get spice from one location to another, or from a NPC supplier contact to a special vendor somewhere.

But ultimately, it's smuggling for players which is going to keep our profession fresh and fun in the long run.

Since when are individual crafters making mass-run weapons?! Weaponsmiths aren't Merr-Sonn or BlasTech! They should never be able to make things like the E-11 or DLT-20! Those are made by big corporations, and not by some lowly Mon Cal technician in his own private shop with only a small crafting tool and a amoire-sized "crafitng station". Frankly, I think its very un-Star Wars-y to have this in the game! I say remove the ability to craft weapons, and lets finally focus on whats important: Being an underpaid lab tech at a large corporation barely making ends meet and pushing long hours to make deadlines on the next weapon to be mass produced by the corporation "weaponsmiths" actually work for.
Funny how the argument against our only means of staying ina player-based economy doesnt hold up as well when used, just as validly, for another profession, like weaponsmith.

I wonder if these anti drug dealers will be so adamant if spice becomes the true opiate of the masses. You know I am really against dealing drugs, but if your willing to pay 20k for a crate of muon. I suppose I can help you out.

I don't really know if we should be crafting spice (I don't mind it, though), but we should deffinatly be the ones selling it.
And, for the record, not every smuggler wants to be the Han Solo heart-of-gold smuggler. Some of us want to be low-down backstabbing cheats who'd steal from their own mother if it meant a good bit of cred.

Well its not like everyone in the game dosent have a template part that makes little to no sense. I am still trying to figure out why as a BH do I need to know how to camp.-Originally, when Master Scout was needed, and buffs weren't as prevalent, camps ment you could heal your wounds at a greaterrate, take a short break, call petsif youwhere also a creature handler, and simply to sit down for a bit, since you had to run all over the damned place. You can ofcoarse roleplay it into makeing sense, but I still have no idea how gutting dead animals is prereq for knowing how to train them in ch-Getting hides, meats, and bones is only one aspect of theHunting branch of the Scout profession. The logic behind this was that you should know as much as you can about animals before you can attempt to start taming them., or how knowing how to make harvesters is such a needed skill by weaponsmiths, and armorsmiths-Precision tools, heavy equipment, servomotors, gears, et al. And its not as if you *had* to make harvesters to progress, you could have made... *gasp* low level weapons and armor!.
The point is your a criminal, and as a criminal aslong as you can make money off of it your for it-/sarcasmCone2 I would have never figured this out on my own!. If you really cared about human decency you would not be makeing sawed off shotguns. You would not be tampering with government owned terminals. You wouldnt be makeing secret donations to a terrorist group.-What about the part where we bribe government officials so that we can get cooler toys which we illegally modifyto hurt people with?
I am scared that the smuggler will be reduced from a cool roleplay element to barny the dinosaur.-....I want to ask if you've been paying attention on any of the threads you've been posting on, but we already know the answer.
I love you you love me together we never have to engage in anything remotely to do with criminality. Spice is bad slice is sad. Rebels need creds to give people breads. I love you. You love me, and we we pretend that han was a tragedy.-God, how big of a dipshịt are you? We make threads on how we want a chance to be caught with illegal goods, or be discovered as Rebels. The simple fact is, most of us don't want to craft spice, but to Smuggle it, perhaps with the ability to cut it for more doses, or enhance its abilities, sorta like a Shipwright would engineer several blasters into one. But mostly, we just wanna Smuggle in stead of craft.
And as for your Han remark. You act as if we should love/hate the guy simply because he was a criminal, and nothing else.. You just can't seem to wrap your tiny little brain around the fact that somepeople like him because he was a criminal who became a hero; or because hero or criminal, he was a badass; or due to the fact he was exceptional witha pistol. But no, in your very close-minded view, we have to like/dislike the guy because he was a cold blooded killer, based soley on how he killed Greedo.
For pete sake your criminal scum. Not politicians start acting like criminal scum.
