I wouldn't go that far. I mean really, the day I get sent to a cloner by a kreetle is the day I hang up my blaster for some hawtpants and go cantina crawling singing Elvis tunes in falsetto.
im waiting until you all see concotion shot sucks. here why. lets asume a group is hunting pickets. we all know pickets attack in groups. so you the smuggler mezzes the extras. after 40 seconds the extras are all on you, 20 seconds if your not master. if you try to be clever and use a camando weapon, and use area mez. you will quickly noitice area sucks. the target will be mezzed, but the pikets sarounding the target will only be mezzed lets say 5 to 10 seconds, if it sticks. then your incapped.
panic shot sucks even more. if you use panic shot on extra pikets, sence it has no root they will chase you, dont remember the timer on it, but when it runs out your incap again
fien death would realy help but only has a 30% chance of sucsess. third incap, dead
I've thought about this for a while since we found out this was changing. I realize that I'm going to have to change the way I fight both solo and in a group.

So you've actually tried out the new changes and you're speaking from experience, right?

Why don't you give it a shot today and see how it works?
Oh, and there is a way to pull one piket at a time. Even when there's 50 of them milling around. It's not hard. Well, it won't be hard once they fix the pet bug they're introducing with Publish 19.

if you wanna make concussion shot work as it is where it breaks on dmg then make it an area attack!
this now makes the special useful again as a mob will be dazed and rooted until damaged the smuggler can concussion shot several and the group can pick one at a time to damage.

No offense Saarek, because I don't usually have a problem with you, but REREAD what was said and get that through YOUR thick skull.
I'm talking about how we're supposed to be a 5 in crowd control when we are outmatched by other professions, Pistoleer as one example. I like concussion how it is now, I'm not complaining about that. I'm not even saying we NEED a root that sticks after damage. I'm not saying we should be able to solo everything. I'm saying we are not a 5 in crowd control. I'm saying that our specials are STILL redundant.
I stated all this through examples and possible solutions, but some people just can't wrap their minds around someone making a legitimate argument while providing legitimate solutions.
We are well on our way to a 5 in crowd control, and if you feel another profession is more proficcient in it than us, just because they have a root, then geez man - learn how to use your skills a tad more efficiently. Our specials are not redundant. One special is SLIGHTLY redundant - another special does sweet FA - but the others we have are VERY effective. And this statement... "We are not supposed to be able to take anything on alone. You need to get that through your thick skulls people." still holds true. People DO need to get that thru their thick skulls.
While you have the right idea in wanting the broken specials fixed (who doesn't want that, really) make use of the ones we have effectively and we are still a VERY powerful member of a crowd control team. Couple our skills with Commando for AoE weapons - and you can "Daze" an entire mob in one shot. One bloody shot - if thats not powerful - I dont know what is. Yes, it has to be combined with another profession if thats the effect you want - but I've never seen a CL54 Bounty Hunter take on Jedi with his BH skills alone.
And thank you for taking a general comment to 80% of the community so much to heart. At least we finally have a meaningful discussion in this forum - and not an "I have devs for this and that and blah blah blah.".
The biggest issues I have had with my crowd control has always been the nukers not nowing how to aviod breaking the mez/ roots I tossed.
I think we are ok like this will need more testing to be sure but I do see getting my ass handed to me in the future by some over aggressive commandos or carbineers who ask me after weare all cloning
