Thread: I'm sorry, but I have to say this.
I haven't tried it post-19 yet, but I succumbed to the hype and picked up some Commando for the area weps, in hopes of having more CC effectiveness..
..and was totally underwhelmed. I don't know if this holds true for post-19 Concussion, but allthe Corellian Destroyer and Launcher Pistol did was AGGRO every mob in the cone while only actually hitting ONE with the effect. So instead of a CC device, it creates a CC nightmare.
Let me list the situations where Stopping Shot is better than Concussion shot (better, not equivalent or inferior):
1 or morevs 1 combat where the target has a range of less than you (or your group).
Yup. That's the only time stopping shot is better than concussion shot.
1 vs 1 where the target has a rifle and you have a pistol? Neither shot is useful, unless your objective is to escape, and then Concussion Shot is better (as they stop firing immediately, you have to get out of range before they stop firing with Stopping Shot.)

PvE they are fine and dandy, trouble is balance passes happen for PvP reasons not PvE reasons. These two skills will be chained into an "I win 2 button Combo." People will abuse it PvP ( I would love to be ablet o abuse these skills PvP if I was still smuggler) and they will get nerfed, probably with an 30 second resist timer or a very large SAC modifer.

uh it seems to already have a large SAC cost... I ran out of action way earlier than usual it seems.
Also, if anyone can figure out a way to chain this crap. Panic and Concussion DO break each other, but do NOT replace each other. That is, Concussion does NOT lay a root/daze on a mob that already has the panic daze on them, but DOES break panic's daze. So your only choice is basically, /concussion /damage shot, and maybe it'll stick again if you use it.
They do NOT need to be nerfed because they don't work for crap.
