Now, that being said, I dont have a problem paying 50k maybe 100k for the higher end slicing components, But in the same respect, they put this system in knowing that its bugged, and the components ar NOT dropping like they should. I have personally killed over 250 blacksun ships and not 1 Illegal core booster looted. So, the drop rate on these is goin to be changed, you might as well look for that. The drop rate isn't a bug -- it is intentionally low to be shifted up rather than high and shifted down (to prevent some people from doing something that isn't whining but sounds like it).

The fastest way to get these changes is have the jedi complain about it then it will be done in the next few days in a hotfix. These slices are now supposed to be more rare, ok great, they are not Really rare. Oh wait Jedi were supposed to be rare too weren't they? Maybe we missed something on that one. So, just because alot of the smugglers, NOT all of them mind you but alot of them, Are NOT happy at all with this slicing revamp, mainly because we got bent over by Bubba Dev. Alot of these guys have been slicing since slicing started, making their own tools, and getting complained at because some other smuggler is slicing for 2k less than they charged. And now all of a sudden they have to PAY someone to lootcamp for them Or do it themselves, instead of playing the game, and its called "whining" because they dont think they should have to pay for something they could make a week ago? Come on! "Experience may change during on-line play" Yes, you're whining.

Not trade forums...

Sell what ya want, forwhat ever priceyou want to... If i pay too much, I'm stupid. (but i'm banking on other people's stupidity winning out)

With the current rarity, the time to strike it rich on this is a short window... more mobs will be found, and looting will be streamlined. Strike while it's hot. I'll wait out the market's imbalance as a buyer, you shouldn't.

It's a game have fun.

If the drop rate isn't bugged, then why did Thunderheart say that the drop rate would need to be increased through the weeks?

Is there a forum mod out there somewhere who can move this thread to the trade forums where it belongs?

Wah WAh WAH

All I hear in this thread is tradeforum this trade forum that. And Angus up there saying that a drop from a krayt and NS elder going for 100-200k is way to much. I'm sorry but in the 20 or so kills last night of Krayts, we got 2 mandalorian pieces. Two.

The pieces on my server are selling for 200-500k. I tell people that 100-200k is a good price if they would like to see slicing stay under 1m for tier 3/4. If they want to pay 1m for a slice then let them.

We should be able to craft the tools we need due to the speed in which we go throguh them. I for one do not have the time or space to house a million seperate loot items to slice for my large customers over 1K in guns at once.

Please let us crafted these.

Is something being sold? No, so why should this be moved to a trade forums. The author of this thread is asking smugglers in general from every server, what a good price is for certain items. Last I checked, this is the smuggler forum, which is where to go for smuggler advice and questions.

Even better... I'm not slicing anything for anyone period.

Well, I'll give someone a level one slice... For 50k.

Personally, its just odd that as a master of my trade I dont even know how to make the tools (even lower quality ones) that i need for my trade. You would think that as a master you would have figured that out... wouldn't you? We are smart enough to figure out how to modify everything, make and sell drugs and not get caught... but to dumb to figure out how to make the tools we use daily to reach master level?

Oh well... such is SoE and we should be used to it... for me I wont buy anything for slicing. Bring it with you or go without.

I'm doing this (for now):

ARMOR --

Single Lvl 1 slice: 10K

Double Lvl 1 slice: 15K

Triple Lvl 1 slice: 20K

Quad Lvl 1 slice: 25K

Single Lvl2 slice (and up): client provides tools w/ 10K surcharge for my services per lvl, otherwise price of each tool is twice what it cost me to acquire

WEAPONS --

Single Lvl 1 slice (no-kit): 10K

Double Lvl 1 slice (no-kit): 15K

Single Lvl 2 slice: 40K

Double Lvl 2 slice: 60K

Single Lvl 3 slice (and up): client provides tools...10K surcharge for my services per lvl...otherwise price of each tool is twice what it cost me to acquire

Clients are lining up outside the starports. I've done quite well just giving double lvl 1's-2's (2-4%spd, 2-4%dmg), and never having to carry anything but the 'common' (term used loosely) simple toolkit. If they want a 'better' slice, I explain the situation and advise themto conduct asearch for the necessaryhigh-end tool...at least until this loot-drop fiasco gets addressed. Keeping the price down seems to be working so far. With the drop inprofitbeing made up for by the increase in volume.

I agree totally. SMUGGLERS should be the only people who have any control over the prices of slicing. The current system basically allows players who are in "end-game" (capable of quickly soloing the needed mobs) to dictate the market.

Quite simply, the "average" smuggler MIGHT be able to have their own fully sliced weapon, but good luck getting a fully sliced suit of armor at these rates.

I also agree with the guy who said that getting the jedi to whine will get the issue resolved. Make their lightsabers sliceable. This will a) put them in the same boat as every other profession, and b) force the people capable of handling these mobs to assist in obtaining the loot from them.

There's also the issue of returns. The maximum results are a bit thin for the amount of time and effort currently involved. They've either got to SERIOUSLY up the drop rate, or DRAMATICALLY increase the overall effects. As it stands, only "power gamers" stand to benefit AT ALL from this system, and that is just plain wrong: if i wanted to live in a caste system, i'd move to India.
