Hurrah! I hope they make it so that people can pick up a faction Piloting profession and the Privateer profession (for the right SP cost of course
) Tie Defender though? there's 2 more slots to announce, yet he's saying there's 3 new ships to add (not to mention the T/D wasn't invented yet
)
Don't get your hopes up...Privateer is one of the three pilot classes (Imperial, Rebel, Priveteer). If you are an imperial (covert or overt) you will be an imperial pilot, same for Rebel, Privateer is the nuetral pilot tree. You can find all this information on the stickies on the JTL forum.

The lead designer (?) of JTL originally worked on the Wing Commander series, don't be surprised if JTL will be more like that than like the X-Wing series. That means more action and less simulation. And the mission design wasn't that great, too, hopefully they have some good people working on that ...
For me, the Yacht and my XWing will be enough, hopefully I can have and use both. But the more multi-passenger ships, the better.

I think what they mean by icon is what was in XvT--the crosshairs would blink green when "chances were good" that you'd hit the ship.

More multi-person ships the better if you ask me! The YT-2000 has the cockpit in the center of the ship right?

Yep. And it looks like I'm not the only one that like the cockpit where it belongs.

I prefer the 2000 myself. Centerline cockpits are a boon to old fighter pilots. TIE Defender? Bleh. Am I the only one who didn't much care for the tri-panel design of the Defender? Will the T/D come with lasers, ion cannons, proton torpedoes, and a beam weapon? If not, what's the point?
Give me a TIE Avenger any day. And that Oppressor looks cool. Wondering if it'sa fighter.

None of the certs for the skill trees are set in stone.
Personally, I can't imagine why they'd put the YT 2400 in if they've got the 1300 in. After all, why would anyone get the 1300, when there is a newer better model out there. I'm retiscent.

Well for a few reasons actually. First off, alot of people will fly YT-1300's for the sole reason that it represents one of the most popular ships in the trilogy. Besides that, based on the cert information (which I know isnt set in stone, but still
