I'm looking forward to it. I've seen nothing but a good direction since SOETyrant came along. The guy kicks ass and I wish you all could have met him when I did.

knee jerk reaction from SOE publicity machine to quell the ensuing flames after having smugglers listed as number 11 in the all time worst gaming events of 2004. Nothing more nothing less.
They are only trying to appease us to prevent further anarchaic acts following on from the bad press which will lead to even more bad press. I am almost in 2 minds of writing a letter to PC Gamer describing this whole debacle, including the history of the smuggler post showing every last one of the broken promises handed down to us by the devs. I am sure a mention of the piss poor Job they are doing in PC gamer will lft thir sprits somewhat an encourage them to actually address our issues in a more timely fashion

I refuse to get my hopes up any more on anything SOE has to say. This profession has been ignored, lied to, and misled since day one. Actions speak louder than words. I will believe that they are going to revamp us when I see hard proof; nothing else matters.
All in all, its going to be a long while before we see anything, anyway.

Soon the new expansion : Underworld !
Enjoy the spoils of Smuggling like Han solo did in the Star War Galaxies !
New profession : Smuggler !
You will be able to make spices, deal them, enhance weapons and armors, make friends with anyone if you got enought money....
New item as a Smuggler : DL44 Metal !
Any new smuggler will also get a wookiee doll and a rodian "I-miss-at-point-blank" BH ennemy
....
Nothing new under the sun.... except someone else saying they are working on it....
Let's wait and see like we are used to...

You will be able to make spices, deal them, enhance weapons and armors, make friends with anyone if you got enought money....

So basically the smugglers have to pay to have their profession fixed?

Negative. What Tyrant is saying about an expansion pack and the underworld is a large wide-spread thing. He's talking about the actual underworld of Jabba, Nym, and Valarian and they would integrate into the game much more just like the GCW. Nothing to reallydo with out Underworld line.
Summary: Gordan Walton/SOETyrant is saying that a sweeping undeworld change that would bring the criminal underworld of SWG on par with the Galactic Civil War would probably require an expansion. It has little to do with our Underworld line that gives us faction perks and the hidden scan evasion.
