he's right, sorta... but the CU actually improved the game.
we're gonna protest over a lack of improving the game. and we should include the entertainers, rangers, squad leaders, and all other nerfed/neglegted proffesions in our fight.

To be fair I did come in, in the middle of all this crap too. I don't know what it has been like for the past year since I left SWG the first time.
EQ is still their product. I will NEVER buy another Sony product. I can fulfill my needs from their competitors just fine.

so let's talk about our other options in the MMORPG genre...
there's WoW... i don't like swords and orc very much, especially when it looks all cartoony.
there's CoH... i don't want to wear tights. and the game just sounds limited.
there's MxO... i heard it's kinda lame. and they killed off Morpheus already?
what else is there out there?

If Smuggling, when/if it does come, isn't anything close to what we as players want out of it, we give them 24 HOURS to acknowledge that it is a problem, and after they acknowledge it, ONE WEEK to produce results.

But, the large, sudden loss of players should say something to the Devs, and we all know that massive bannings for no GOOD reason catch the critical eye of of the press.
So to sum up, Smuggler gets completely ruined. The Devs refuse to do anything about it in a timely fashion. For me, at least, the game is COMPLETELY not worth my time any more. I protest, get banned, and if enough people do the same, we draw attention to ourselves.
Worst thing that could happen? You retire a toon, and either turn to a new account, an alt, or leave the game entirely. Best thing that could happen, they do something positive in response to widespread criticism against them.
thought I'd add this: If we can track down some more infamous types, get some of the 4 horsemen etc. to reactivate their accounts, just to do this, then we could move the symbolism from, "angst-ridden", up to "tragic."

I'm surprised that for all the writing people do on these forums no one has hit upon the tried and true method of getting results.
Letter writing.
Sure, cancel your accounts and hit them in the pocketbook. In addition, send letters to the corporate offices of Lucas Arts and Sony Online, explaining that you canceled your account(s) and why, and that you have no intention of buying any product from them again as long as their Customer support and treatment remains so poor.
Also, send letters - LOTS of them - to game magazines, emails to the online sites, etc. Give details why you're not playing a game like SWG any more. Get the negative publicity rolling and force the corporate heads to start taking notice of what the kids in the computer room are doing.
Anyone with any knowledge of marketing will tell you that if you like a product, you will give word of mouth advertising to 5 people. Don't like it? You'll tell 20.
Get the facts about how posters like Angus got banned for asking for something that has been promised for years. Put SOE and most of all the people running this forum on the defensive. Make them feel the pain.

it's gonna be WoW for me. They have a REAL Rogue class, with REAL Rogue skills. The non-combat stuff isn't as deep as SWG, sure, nothing is though, and as SWG has proven time and again, I can make my own damn non-combat content.
