This is not true. They started JtL, before the beta of Galaxies. They probably WILL have only a 2 or 3 month Beta. And while i am not an optomist about our revamp happening ANY time soon. I'm sure it won't be a year from now. Or else their won't BE any Smugglers left! Seriously we use alot of skill points right now that get VERY LITTLE USE. If It were a year. :-P I wouldn't be their!!!

Mind you, I wasseething with anger, but then realized it wasn't worth being angry over. If there is anything to be angry over it is that they are driving away the best damn correspondent EVER!

Ive been frustrated for so long that Ive just given up on waiting for the revamp. If it comes it comes, Otherwise I try and make the best of my profession. I won't drop smuggler as it is one of the reasons I joined galaxies but it isn't the only. Everything thats being vented on right now is extremely old news to me anyways.

I feel compelled to add comment, but Isuspect it is based in some pathetic belief that my voice will somehow be heard and make a diference.


I have no problem with the Smuggler revamp taking place after JtLS... correction, I would have had no problem with this, had there been a direct and honest communication regarding the timing of the revamp from the start. Long ago, I posted my concerns with attempting to move the revamp of our profession to just before the JtLS release date. It made little or no sense to revamp a profession who's core operations should most definately change with the addition of space content on release of JtLS. I cant imagine that this was not on the minds of developers as well.


Simply stating the Smuggler revamp will be the first mini-pub after JtLS is released would be the best possible recourse. Dont give me a date, dont give me a publish number. I think we all realize that this professionshould have a lot to do with space content, and that content would be pointless to add or improve without having access to space via the JtLS ships.


That being said, we are also overdue for a grand overhaul of our land-based, or rather non-space-specific, skills and content. We know it, and the developers have been admitting it since launch. I can fathom the thought process behind the original delay, it will take more time to work out this profession's new/improved content, whu not just include that content with the space-based content for this profession? I thinkj at this point, it is begining to sink in that there is a very good reason not to wait until the space-based content can be included: Tenitave JtLS deadline push-backs.


I would feel much better if this single, all-inclusive revamp idea was scrapped, and a two-tier, ground then space approach be adopted. I fear it will take far too long to wait for JtLS's release to get fixes to these issues!

I'm not particularly active on these boards as far as posting goes, but I read just about every thing that happens with this profession. I am a Pistoleer and used to be smuggler, until I dumped everything except the only useful tree that is slicing. Smugglers are one of the most important professions both in this game and canonly. Mos Eisley would have just been a sleepy little town if it wasn't for smugglers and criminals. Han Solo wouldn't have had as much appeal, and the Alliance wouldn't have any good pilots. So while I am looking forward to doing the Kessel Run in under 12 parsects, I would also like, as most of you would, the ability to actually play a smuggler in this game. I know many of you have probably thought of this idea, but SOE keeps characters for a minimum of 3 months. Why don't we just go on strike for a month or two? Completly eliminate the core smuggler community and save ourselves 30 bucks on a game we don't want to play. Besides, since we can now onlydo things in space we might as well just not play all the time until than.We are losing good people who have tried thier best to help us; I think it is time for us to use our only real weapon to help what they started. My subscription runs out in 8 days, and I plan on practicing what I preach. One person cannot make a difference, but maybe together we can.

Im gettin really sick of this

Jedi get pretty much anything and Smuggler suffer since the beginning.

Let me Explain to you why a Smuggler is so much Important in a Star Wars Universe.


1.Hans Blaster , He modified it (sliced it) so is he a Uber Master Smuggler becouse he has a Super Fast Weapon? or was he just lucky with slicing 4 and wasted 1-25 guns before he hit it good enough to stay allive against Jabbas Bounty Hunters


Well Han Got the Spice that he deliverd from the Cruel scum from the Universe....and didnt sit in his Falcon for 2 days and Crafted Drugs...


If Han Wouldve been exactly like we are right now...he would be dead by now becouse a Novice Teras Kasi kicked the Crap out of him...wichwould resultthat luke got killed in episode 4 in the Death Star Canyon before firing his shot.


The Underground Tree has some nice Skills ...BUT...nobody would ever know about it if nobody would check Guides and Forum Posts hidden deep in the Internet.Imagine Han in front of a Crimelord just saying: DOH!!!!


Then how come Evry Single Class has a Weapon for itself but a Smugglers best Weapon is a Rep.Blaster and FWG5(wasnt Hans Weapon a Heavy Blaster Pistol? Im Really Curious why it isnt in the game).


Then i think Smuglers should be able to slice Vehicles for Speed also (wich results that the Cunduct of the vehicle empties faster)

Han modified his Ship and in the Books he had a modified Swoop Bike when he was still racing


I also think they should be able to slice droids or hack them(to make em stronger or faster or more life points)They are still Wires with Circuits so why not?


I think the Idea to make the PasswordDoors Sliceable in the Geo Caves was a really nice idea(if you dont have the codes you need a smuggler...we need more of those ideas)


Let Smugglers Slice into a Dungeon or Bunkers Dataterminal and let em download AreaPlans (they can sell Information then.)

Talon Karrde had allways Plans or Information)Or go even that far and let Smugglers know where Imperial Patrols are looking for Sliced Stuff.)


We need the Playerbountysystem...Imagine Boba Fett in front of Jabba when Jabba offerd him the Job to hunt Solo down

Sorry no can do...he doesnt show up on my BH terminal...he would be Rancor Food by now...


Then the Dirty Fighting Tree doesnt give any bonusses on Pistols??????Oh yeah Han got shot by Greedo becouse he shot himself in the foot (not much Handling)


Spices are allways different no matter in wich movie wich game or wich Location in real life...not in StarWars though you can buy a book to do spices exactly how they are supposed to be .... no better no worse....


I am not gonna Wait 6 months till you fix some of the Major Issues of the Smuggler...

We waited long enough its time for you to do something about it...

I have no problem wating for the smuggler revamp, yes I was really looking foward to seeing and experiencing the smuggler revamp. I have been working on smuggler since launch and myself and alot of deticated smugglers are wating to see what role the smugglers will have in SWG, but I am a firm believer in good things come to those who wait. So to all those smugglers out there keep your cool and I have a good feeling the reason that it is talking so long to revamp the smuggler is because smugglers as we no them are not going to be the same. So keep up the good work DEVs and please don't make the wait for the smuggler revamp tooooo far away .

To your Information i havent postet here that many times and im not a jedii dont really want to be one if i want to be one i play KotOR

Sure as soon as the QuestSystem opens up im gonna check it out but i dont want to master all professions in order to unlock it

I dont have the patience nor the will to do so.

I started playing SWG becouse it gave me a Chance to Get into the Universe wich i really enjoyed to be in so far...but the onlt Profession that i really liked was Smuggler and Commando wich i masterd.

I read The Books i played the Games i bought the Comics , i even played Pen and Paper Roleplaying Games when i had time (and my Girl allowed it lol)

Still i feel so useless in the Starwars Universe right now becouse i dont really have a Part in the GCW.

If Harrison Ford would check this game out he would propably call George Lukas and ask him why the Smuggler is so ...low...

I just dont want to stick evryday when i log on with slicing and Spicing and crappy Combat Moves...

Hope i made myself Clear now
