I guess that's their biggest problem on this. But i am the kind of consiracy guy sometimes (meaning that i may be wrong)
It is important to remember that whoever they select we support them (unless they really do something silly). This would be a horrid time for the smuggler community to fall apart. JTL is about to go live soon and that means that CB work should pick up followed by (hopefully) a smuggler revamp. These are going to be massive changes for the profession and we don't need to be bickering amongst ourselves during it. We need to keep a unified front.

The person that gets the job obviously will have wanted it to be a help to the community so whomever it is I will support them the best I can(i can't gaurantee to necessarily always agree with them but support most definately)

Sure we'll have to support him (or her), that what is the problem they have to face, our willingness to support their choice. I figure they use this criteria (among others) to select the good one, and whay it takes so long is that they are realizing that whoever they choose he (she) will have full support, so they can't have an illustious nobody that they model the way they wish. They perfectly know there will be lots of pression around him (her) to push forwards. And a nobody wouldn't stand it. It must have taken some time for them to figure that, and now they have to rebrowse through applications.

'Lodek-who?' wasn't my problem. It was how they didn't even ask for applications that time around. TH certainly remembers me calling him on that. Lol.

Oh yeah. I remember that too. It was kinda shady. But there were plenty of people going "Lodek who?"
It was an especially bad move after the bad blood that precluded San's departure.

Yeah, that was not a shinining moment in Smuggler forum lore. And you are right, a lot of people were scratching their heads at the arbitrary appointment of a relative unknown. I believe Caylin is right about his post count, I remember because at the time it was only like triple mine, and not like 5000 posts higher then mine!
It would be like me being named Corr. now, lots of head scratching. 
Lodekdall was a very organized and focused individual though. I think he would have done a great job, and I think Caylin has *some* of his early success to attribute to Lodek's initial framework set-up. Just as I think our next corr. will have early success based off of what Caylin has set-up over the past 10 months or so.
Here's to another few solid months with Caylin, since it seems like they don't want to make progress on our Smuggler Correspondent Revamp either!

Just a side note... It wasn't just Smugglers who the Devs peeved off. In the Rifleman forum, theytook applications, but then appointed someone with *17* posts to their name that no one had heard of! He was an OK correspondent till he got caught up in Jedi... but at least he was smart enough to step down and pass it on to someone else...
