What i don't understand is that most of us seems to have agreed on the paper works...
I don't think we should redo them... Will the new coresp have to redo all of this ? i hope not. I liked most of these ideas and i want them in.
Hopefully we can use what we have already put together and then maybe reformat it the way the Devs want it.

The problem being, the Devs can't make up their minds what they want.
"That's too short."
"No, too long."
"Too much detail."
"Needs more detail."
etc. etc. etc.
I honestly think they just like to see us try to scramble around in circles.

It's actually a good thing to redo documents.
Just make it something you can refer to as your own work. That means stickies, issue lists, state of the profession and more. Don't just follow up on a previous correspondents work, makeit your own. It's extra work but worth it, especially if you involve the community andlet them see how you work as soon as possible.
Yes.. but.... but... you've done it all already!... I mean.... sure, there's one or two updates that can be made in every document that you've done as our correspondent, but those small changes aside, you've pretty much covered every base, dotted every i and crossed every t.... The new guy can repost your stuff with the odd change, but it's still gonna be your stuff, simply because you've done such a good job and made such a definitive set of documents.
I hope they'll be as attentive and indeed retentive (tee hee
) as you when it comes to detail, because it's that quality (amongst many others) that's seen our ideas and dreams blossom and become fully realised in the design documents that you and those of this community have helped create.
I understand what you're saying, show the community that you're active, interested and on the ball, get them interested in helping you and associate doing so as helping the professionout, while at the same time getting everyone to know the knew correspondent.... it's just that.. when all's said and done, it's still going to be the same old same old. The documents and posts are more than likelygoingto benear enough to carbon coppies ofeverything you've done so far... I have no idea what my point is.. unless you count the "Oh dear god, please stay, don't leave us pllllllleeeeease!" PoV
.
Er, ona side note, if Geevo and Fishbrains havn't applied yet, do so now, because, damn, you two are so right for it.. hell, Yimaz give it a go aswell, you're cool too ![]()
On an ever further side note, necking a bottle of wine before you go out, followed by numerous drinks at a bar then the night club= bad.. no lady loving for you! (yeh, I really mean me). Anyway, my mouse is drawn inexorably towards the 'Submit Post' button ![]()
