Really nice how you singled out all jedi changes in each pusblish and fail to see everything else that has been done in order to blame Jedi for lack of smuggler content. Btw, publish 18 Jedi revamp #2 ??? erm not....
Everything has been put aside to cater to the super class. Again, makes me sick.

Personally, I think the person in charge of picking the questions needs a good hard prod up the backside from a heavily shined boot; for some reason questions that were answered kept being repeated (and it's not as if there weren't a wide variety to choose from). Ah well, here's the log:
Before a chat starts everyone is notified of what will be dicussed. Question takes post questions to the Dev teams and we get to sort through them. I can tell you last night it was a chore due to the same questions getting spammed over and over and they had nothing to do with the expansion. We stay on topic because we have members of that particular team present to deal iwth the questions asked.
Tiggs, whats the point when you duck all of the questions posed to you that ARE on topic. On more then one occasion a legitimate question was posed to the devs and it was either side stepped or given a, "you'll have to wait and see" answer. If this was going to be the case, why bother with a HOC chat and why not release an FAQ. We know as much about the expansion now as I did before the HOC, and I can honestly say for the first time in 14 months I've been playing, I'm strongly considering canceling my account.
(Brannoc) *Kroen* Will Mustafar be an all open planet like all other planets (except Kashyyyk)??
(Shadowbrak) *Kroen* Mustafar will not be set up zoned like we did with Kashyyyk, though it also won't be identical to older planets. The planet will be smaller than an older planet with some geography direction as was done on Kashyyyk though it will feel more natural this time with a blocked path represented by a sheer cliff or a deep ravine.
For the record, please explain how you can charge $24.99 for an expansion that has only one planet, does not include space, and the one planet is actually smaller then previous ones. How do you rationalize charging that? If you can't answer the question, please forward it to someone who can. I can see paying $24.99 for JTL, no problem since it was buying a whole new game. I paid $19.99 or $24.99 to ROTW which now was a mistake since it has about as much content as a circus sideshow. How about a reduced price for veterans?
*shakes head*
Tiggs, I don't know. This game used to be fun. It was "our" game, the devs and the players working together. Now its "yours". And your the spoiled kid in the sandbox who won't share and makes you do everything his way.

You know what is sad? That SWG players can come up with amazing ideas like this 80 times a day and the actual crap that comes to fruition lacks any all all creativity. If I was SOE/LA I would be completely ashamed at my lack of creative genious. Maybe the Muse there are union workers and are on strike till they get a better health care package. Perhaps the programmers bounce as many good ideas as we do only to get shot down. Regardless, the public opinion is that whoever is steering the content in the direction they ARE has a personality so dry they must have to slather in moisturizer just to keep from dissimilating into dust. This is a game in a computer world with made-up graphics, you can litterally create anything you want; its more magical than the silver screen in that respect. Yet time after time all you make is something seen already, and even then, a boring, watered down version of it.
(juliot) Yes everyone will be able to see Obi-Wan in Mustafar, force sensitive or not.
(Brannoc) *WarChant* Who is your base? What kind of player do you focus on? Is it the long term player? I have been playing over a year with a jdei character. How do I stay interested in the game at this point?
(juliot) Mustafar is going to be a great place for high end players including Jedi's. I encourage Jedi's to go there and explore and enjoy!
first of all, the plural of Jedi is JEDI, not Jedi's, you dummy. secondly... well really there's not much left to say.
have you even SEEN any of the old Star Wars movies??? have you ever read any of the books?
it seems like you have NO CLUE what Star Wars is all about.
i hate you julio torres. you're making this nightmare of a game even worse.

In his defence he was probably an EQ2 programmer that got forced over to SWG when all the programmers quit right after JTL. He's probably one of those that never watched star wars because the entire concept and genre was just not something he's ever been interested in. I would be willing to bet theres quite a few at LA that fall into the second statement I made.

don't defend him.
he's not just some programmer, he's one of the higher-ups from what i understand.
he shouldn't be in his position if he's not familiar with the subject matter.
i happen to think it's more a matter of him being spineless and a corporate suck-up, than his lack of Star Wars knowledge.

How about, Tiggs, you stand up and show us your metal.
I challenge you to come here and answer the real questions your community would like to see answered. I lay the gauntlett down. Live up to your title and prove yourself to be a real Director of Community Relations, rather than the semi-skimmed diet Fluff poster some of us believe you to be.

If you can't discuss a topic then don't chose that as the one up for discussion.
Also what was with every question that was answered "Is this a jedi only expansion?". I'm sure people were asking more than that, all you do is answer about 15 questions before you all say it is time to go. pick different questions.
We had nearly 600 participants and the questions that were sent to us regarding the new expansion were about Jedi and the new expansion.
The chats are scheduled for one hour, in that time we answer as many questions as possible.

Didn't they used to do a question a week from each profession?
Why don't we have that again, by monday the Corrospondants submit their top question for the team and on wednessday Tigg posts the answer. This way no one is running around scheduling for some chat that does nothing and we can hopefully get some real answers to our issues.
I do think that Tiggs does a good job, but you know what they say about the messenger. "If you can't find anyone else, go for the messenger".
They've tried the "answer profession questions from the correspondents" things a couple times. End result: Utter failure. They take 10-20 questions and answer maybe one of them, often in as vague a manner as the HOC chats.
The problem is that after over 2 years, the future of this game is more in question then it was when it was rushed to release. The developers of this game do nothing to remedy this. They change schedules and cancel content plans on a whim. They continue to ignore serious problems in favor of promotional oppurtunities (which bring their own problems) and cover this fact with statements like "We're focusing on bug fixes".
I've seen bigger batches of bug fixes in hotfixes that came 2-5 times a month in this game. Make no mistake about it, all the professions who have been waiting a long time for their "attention" have been put on the back burner again for another expansion. An expansion to attract what LucasArts thinks people want in a Star Wars game, and that's Jedi.
TOW may not be ALL about Jedi, but it is intended to do one thing, and that's attract more people to that profession. Until they actually focus on the others, through promotion and actual development time, every other player in this game will continue to be disappointed... And no number of questions answered can fix that... Especially when the answers often only leave more questions.

Okay Tiggs
Many players feel marginalised by the direction the game has taken over the last few months. These fans are largely Original Trilogy fans who tend to migrate towards the more RP professions - Smuggler, Ranger, Squal Leader- despite not necessarily being heavy RP players. These players reject the notion of the Jedi grind as the centerpiece of the game, and favour a more canon verison of the game, with the Galactic Civil War being the centerpiece, as in the OT movies. These players believe they and their professions are being neglected by the Development Team and by the Community Relations Team, with the Jedi grind and Prequel-orientated content have the main focus, as is indicated by the ROTW and TOW expansions. These players, many of them veterans, are leaving in droves.
Now show us your mettle, prove yourself worthy of the Director tag you wear:
- Have the Producers been made aware of this swell of attitude?
- If so, what are their plans for addressing the concerns?
- If not, why not?
Three simple questions to which I think we deserve honest and open answers.

I'm definetly not interested in Jedi. Ive been strongly opposed to the idea of a player super class from day one. It destroys all sense of combat balance. It ruins any motive for non Jedi to PvP (dont know about you guys but I'm nobodies ego fodder). Jedi have drawn far more then their fair share of attention...
and THIS IS NOT KOTOR!!!
I never wanted to be a Jedi, I was looking forward to playing a BH, or a Smuggler... there are so many other kinds of characters in Star Wars! What about the storm troopers? What about the rebel commandos? What about the diversity?
