Now it seems under weapons that over charger and intensifier are the same thing...

Is there a PDF format of this guide available? I'd like to print it out and sit in a nice comfy chair with a hot cup of tea to read and absorb it.

Energy saver kit: Decreases the energy maintenance, but also decreases the shields effectiveness.
Intensifier: Increases the effectiveness, but alsodecreases the recharge rate.
Limiter: Decreases the effectiveness, but increases the recharge rate.

Limiter: Decreases the effectiveness, but increases the recharge rate.
Over charger: Increases the effectiveness, butincreasesthe energy maintenance.
Basically, the Energy Saver kit and the Overcharger are exact opposites. Of all of them, the only shield subcomponent I crafted in Beta was the Overcharger... as a pilot, recharge rate is too important a statistic to mess with, and effectiveness is not something you *ever* want to decrease. I'd rather have a higher energy maintenance rate, since that's easily experimented down.

Check your schematics again. My shipwright told me the opposite, that intensifier increased energy maint, and over charger decreased recharge rate

Question about Mass of a ship...
Is the mass listed for each ship the limit that it can hold (in components etc) or is it the actual mass of the ship and you can add as much mass as you want. Either way does the total mass affect speed, manuverability etc?

The mass of a ship is how much mass you can put in it
Thought up ship
20000 mass
Would work example:
Reactor 2000
Engine 6000
Gun 3000
capacitor 3000
Droid socket 3000
total 17000
Wouldnt work:
Engine 8000
Reactor 4000
gun 4000
Capacitor 3000
Droid socket 3000
total 22000

Excellent work.
If I may suggest...One of the next things I would add is a rating of the speed and maneuverability of each ship.
Such as, the Z-95 is a fast and light fighter, where as the Y-Wing is a slow and heavy fighter.
So far, the only in-game acknowledgement I have found for these types of stats would be in the engine stats.
When I'm flying in a ship and I check the engine's stats, it shows the non-adjustable stats... if you notice these are differentwhen loaded ineach ship type.
The Z-95 and TIE's will show 600 for the non-adjustable speed stats. (I'll come back and edit this, as I can't completely remember whichstats these are)
The Y-Wing shows a much lower number... and of course you can feel this in the handling.
Also, I have an engine with a 64.7 speed which allows me to fly somewhere around 670 (If I'm remembering correctly)... when it was loaded in the Y-Wing, the max speed on my HUD was quite a bit lower (somewhere in the upper 500's).
Including which ships require a second gunner (or more) for the additional weapons will be a great addition as well.
Anyhow, I certainly don't mean that this should be done right away, hehe... just that these seem like the logical steps to making this one complete guide.
I'll do my best to collect some of this data and post it here, if no one else beats me to it.
Thank you very much for putting all of this together.
I had just come here to see if I could find the mass differences of a few ships in particular and found this guide.
Excellent!!
