Some peoples time is valuable. But mostly its the investment in peoples effort, cash and skill points. I charge 10k per RE level. You want a lvl8 engine REd. Bring me 8 engines and 80k, tell me what stat you want increased (or decreased if its mass) and ill set you up.
Hmm...I was under the impression all stats were effectively increased or decreased (improved). You're saying that only one stat can be improved? And the SW selects which one during the RE process?

The RE attempt combines the BEST stats from each item. Additionally, the Shipwright has a choice to increase one stat by additional % (usually 1-6 based in how many items are in the RE attempt). Best part is that there is no chance if a crit failure.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. A choice? The way I understand it , depending on the re' level of the item, you get a certain % bonus. I know this has been explained in other threads, but I've never seen anything that indicates the shipwright can choose which stat the bonus goes to. For instance, I just re'd a re lvl 1 piece of armor. I used the tool, and it applied a 1% bonue to mass, armor, and hit points. I was never able to choose which one.

heres an explanation: this is totaly wrong. when REing an item, the final product takes on the best stats from all items, plus (or minus for stats like mass) a certain % depending on what level is being REd. i believe it is like this, though im not 100% on it:
level 1:1%
2+3:2%
4+5:3%
6+7:4%
8+9:5%
10:6%
that is the final product, the shipwright controls nothing but what goes in and what order it goes in.
