You don't need to macro to get boredom free Survival exp. Just set up camp, set a timer for how many minutes it takes that type of camp to max on exp, go off and do what ever you want (I did this several nights while watching movies.), when the timer goes off come back to your computer, disband camp, repeat.

Thanks for posting the EULA Ripchiwith the highlighted segment I'm thinking that the ingame tool doesn't fall under this heading. But, I could be wrong. I haven't seen a dev comment on this since beta where it was a hot topic of discussion regarding exploits. At this time Holo (or was it Q?) clearly stated that using the in game macro while afk is totally kosher and that the use of third party macro systems like Keyboard Express is the target of the EULA. Butthings can change. I would think that once the devsremove the /pausefeature from the macro system, then it will no longer be legal. Anyhoo, thanks again for posting it. Cheers mate

Not sure how you could read that line and still think creating, distributing and using a macro that allows unattended gameplay to be acceptable or within the EULA. It doesn't say anything there about "3rd party".

This is cheating your way to Master.

Haven't they nerfed the looping macros? Do these methods still work?

I don't use macros but last night I had to put up a series of camps to make it too field bases, and I noticed that the more camps I put up the less xp I would get for the same amount of time. Like the first one gave me the full 1100 for like 35 minutes, then the next went down to 900, and I think it even got down around 550 for one of them, still at 35 minutes. I wasn't keeping track of time too accuratly and I'm not sure what occured in the camp while I was watching TV but I just thought maybe this was some way for the devs to limit macro use or something. I dunno I suppose if I left the camps up until they went down on their own I would have had full exp each time. Yeah nm I said anything.

S.C., they put in a reduction to camp exp if you did them one after another. This was to keep people from doing quick camps and getting exp. I'm not sure what the factor is but I know that if you do a second or third camp right after a previous camp, you will get no exp unless it's up for a longer period of time. In these cases, doing extra healing, have extra people in your camp...ect....or leaving the camp up till it auto-disbands is the only way to max it out.

As for the Exploit issue. In Beta it was stated twice that afk macro'ing was okay as long as you used the in game tool. They even explained how to do itin one thread. BUT....that was for an Artist doinghis/her stuff. To the best of my knowledge afk camping was never discussed. However, I've decided to error on the side of caution and don't do it.

Since I DON'T do it, I've decided that I need to join a PA to help with camps. Any PA's out there on Sunrunner need a Ranger?

Recursive macro's still work. Just end the string with a command to hit the hotkey that you place the macro button in.

Set up your camp - then watch & time how long it takes for it to disband on it's own.

Once you have it timed this will tell you how long to set your pause for. Then add 2 minutes to that time and run your string.

Use an empty toolbar slot - Macro always goes in forst one upper left. So if your camps last 40 minutes then your pause would be 2400 + 2 minutes or 120 = /pause 2520;

The first slot is always 00 then from left to right 2nd one is 01 02 03 etc....

The macro would then go:

/action toolbarSlot01;

/pause 2520;

/action toolbarSlot02;

/pause 2520;

Etc... Etc.... Etc....

I am EST so I ran mine from 10 pm to 6 am then logged of due to server shutdown. You hae to decide what time is best for you to do it. Also disable the AFK sometimes this kicked me off the server.

I have a camping macro that I use in conjunction with the macroing abilities of the Nostromo N50 controller that I use for all MMORPGs I play.

Nostromo Macro:

F12 ( this slot contains my in-game camping macro )
delay 900 ( 15 minutes )
CTRL-T ( this is mapped in the game to select object under cursor )
` ( this brings up the radial menu for the selected object )
2 ( disbands the camp )

In-game macro:

/ui action toolbarSlot00;pause 1; /ui toolbarSlot01;pause 1; .... repeat for as many camps as you've made and placed in tool bar slots

The orderof events for the combined macros are:

1. Nostromo activates my F12 key which starts off my SWG camping macro
2. The SWG camping macro runs through activating all the action toolbars 00-23 for the displayed toolbar panel
3. The Nostromo waits 15 minutes from when step 1 was activate
4. After the 15 minutes the Nostromo activates CTRL-T which selects the camp computer terminal
5. The Nostromo waits 3 seconds then activates a 2 key press which disbands the camp
6. The Nostromo repeats from step 1

To make this work you need to create a camp and place your mouse pointer over the camp computer terminal. If you have to move to see the camp computer terminal, get it in view then disband your current camp and activate the macro. Without altering your view, place your mouse cursor over the camp computer terminal.

Go to bed and wake up with some nice Frontiering XP.

You can modify the delay on the Nostromo if you have > 1 person in the camp for even faster macroing.

Does anyone out there have a camping macro that really works? If so, please post it here. If it also includes a way to disband the camp too, that would be a bonus.
