Lots of typing and reading for such an easy profession. Good stuff though.

Well, I must say, this guide of yours is one of the most comprehensive guides Ive come across so far, U use simple, plain language which is easy to understand and u must be commended on that alone. It is clear and concise and uve managed to combine all u need to know in this one article. Hearty congratulations.

I'm thinking of a good camping macro to maximize your time...

Macro Name: CampMacro

Purpose: Allow you to macro camp for around 4 and a half hours.
How to run: Type "/macro CampMacro" Camps must be placed in all of your toolbar slots, and you must have just placed a camp.

Macro:

/pause 600;

/macro DisbandCampMacro;

/pause 60;

/ui action toolbarSlot00;

/pause 600;

/macro DisbandCampMacro;

/pause 60;

/ui action toolbarSlot01;

.

.

.

/pause 600;

/macro DisbandCampMacro;

/pause 60;

/ui action toolbarSlot23;

Macro Name: DisbandCampMacro

Purpose: To get your camp disbanded automatically.
How to run: This is used by the macro "CampMacro" and should not be used seperatly.

Macro:

/ui action targetSelf;
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/attack;

/pause 5;

/peace;

Note: This macro should get you into combat, which will cause your current camp to disband. This macro may need to be modified, depending on situations.

I have not tested these two macros yet, but I think they should work, and decrease the amount of spam from other macros out there. The main macro can be modified to use up to 120 different camps (the max inventory you have) which would allow you to macro camp for 22.3 hours.

Another little tip:

To get huge amounts of scouting and survival xp go on large hunting trips on dantooine or dathomir. Even if you suck in combat as long as your group kills it u can harvest.

AND

after getting said scout xp GET CREATURE HANDLER its really good for scout as you can use a lower level creature to stall for you at the low levels and a higher one at the higher levels. personally using a strong pet with at least 6k HAM on huurton matrons when you have trapping 3 is reallygood

Hello. Unable to find a suitable macro for me, I designed this one, that will make you only go as far fromt eh camp as you need, using tumble to kneeling, from ranged support 2, marksman.

Fairly simple:

Put the macro on the first slot, the first tooolbar, then place the camps on the others. It`ll generate the camp, wait about 12 minutes (I use with multiperson camp), then tumble away the camp, wait for it to disband and places a new one.

/ui action toolbarSlot01;

/pause 800;
/tumbletokneeling;
/tumbletokneeling;
/tumbletokneeling;
/tumbletokneeling;
/pause 300;

/ui action toolbarSlot03;

/pause 800;
/tumbletokneeling;
/tumbletokneeling;
/tumbletokneeling;
/tumbletokneeling;
/pause 300;

..... and repeating it till toolbarSlot11

you can brake it on blocks to make it easier to stop it.

Hey, I got all my scouting xp on dathomir(excluding survival and trapping). The best way to get SCOUT xp is definitly finding a group who will want to hunt Rancor. Im not exagerating it took me less then half an hour to get 4/x/4/x. I really liked your guide but some scouting is easier then you would think. .

Great guide, as a new player to both the Scout profession and SWG it has been a real help. My Rodian toon on Chimaera is now Scout 3-3-3-2 and Marksman 0-3-3-2 after following the tips in this guide.

so having read all that I have a question......

Survival xp...in the end what is the best way to get it? I see all the talk about groups and camping. But is crafting a better option? I mean I know the small camps give only like 30 xp and the multiperson gives only 65 or so xp. but at every 5 seconds that xp adds up quickly with a good crafting macro. So in one minute you can get over 700 xp in theory.

Are there traps that give more xp for wilderness than camps? Just curious, because it seems to me that crafting may be faster?
