Well I had an easier time milking today (3k units)
but the warping was still a major problem.
The same creature would warp mutiple times on me, the worst was then when it would dissapear.
Maybe I just have bad luck

I have had a much easier time getting milk today. Took down about 10k of Wild Naboo Milk. Just went from one Fambaa and bol spawn to another. And then looped around and started the process all over again.

In the last 2 days I have gotten 7k of milk off of Fambaa's and Bols. I really wish they would implement a daytime and nightime ai routine for animals. During the day they are active run around, warp what have you. At night, they lay down and gather together around their nest/hive/home/etc. This way during nighttime would be the best time to milk because all the animals are laying down. Now of course you can put a random attribute in there that the animals can get up and run around at night if you spook them, I just feel that they make milking in this game to damn hard, especially for the amount of milk you get as a reward. Just my 2 cents.
I don't think you are supposed to milk sleeping animals....it would seem to me to startle them. I know for sure, I wouldn't want to be milked awake.
I dunno...it's not too bad really. =)

OK, after a weekend of looking for GPS and milking like mad becasue Corellian wild on Ahazi is pretty good right now, my frustration with the warping issue is approaching a boil.
First there's the Sally the humbaba deciding to bolt away right after the second "you continue to milk the creature" message, and when she stops, she's 10 kriffing meters in the air. Then there's the Myrtle the bagaraset warps 100 meters away just before you get "you successfully gather milk from the creature message" issue and promply lies down just long enough to get up and bolt away moments before you get the second "you successfully gather milk from the creature" message. Don't even get me started on the krahbu mares, who approach female kaadu in their tendency to be skittish. At least the murras and the sharnaffs tend to stand kriffing still and allow the milking to be concluded.
The warping has simply got to stop. It's bad enough when you're locked in combat with a critter and it vanishes, but this stuff with milking is driving me more bonkers than an eniire lair of crazed durni.

Oh it gets better
I was milking the creature, right under it and got the message:
The creature has moved too far away to milk.
Um the distance gauge said "0m"
tried milking again
You relax the creature etc etc.
The creature has moved too far away to milk
I took a screenie of it that I will upload later but it's a joke.
Give us a dart or a way to convince the creature to sitdown so we can milk it. This sneek up on it and milk it while it goes about it's business is a joke.
Scout waves hand
there is no one pulling on your teats to get milk

So is the fix for this still on TC or has it gone live yet? I can't remember... heck anymore I'm happy if I can remember what day it is...

I'm really starting to wonder if Scouts and Rangers are simply here for people to see how many of us would try to stick with it..........*sigh*

Well it isn't difficult to follow the animal for the 10-15 seconds you need to milk them.
Dantooine is the best planet to get milk in large quantities. Only patience is a must here.
I have milked 21k of dant wild milk of medium quality and now I'm looking for a buyer.
The problem I see is the fact that the milk doesn't add up in the inventory but comes into pieces. I spend a lot of time adding the pieces into a single one. That's stupid!

Check your trade fourms. I always find people putting out contracts for milk in large stacks. I understand it's not hard to follow them and it has gottenmuch better since the last patch. However these issues of creatures warping is still there, try milking a piket 10m above you. My new pain is the picket picks a fight with a huurton so I have to kill the hurton to start milking again. Patience is one thing, but when bugs start to happen more often than not it takes a game that I play for FUN and turns it into Frustration. If I start getting more stress from my stress relief guess what I do? Turn it off.

Yeah imagine if survey and sample went like this? How fast do you think that would be fixed?
on a similar note if you can survey and sample from a mount, why not Harvest resources?
