The other day on Ahazi/Corellia I milked 226 units from a sharnaff.
Who can top that for a single critter milk yield?

319 from a picket longhorn female. I almost passed out
But that was with Vegadesh and group bonouses.
And the creature warping was a fix for an exploit, it has nothing to do with lag.
In the Kryat graveyard people used to place housed and harversters to trap a kryat then safely kill them and deed the structures.
To fix this exploit the devs made it so the creatures could go around the structures by "warping" however this lead to all creatures warping around not only player structures but in game structures such as rocks, walls, hills etc...
Since that patch creatures warp 60 M in the air, or as much as 110 m horozontally.

Does veghash work during milking? Never tested this. I usually get from 150 to 250 units from a piket.I'm just scout 4040, not ranger.
Yes, lag is a big problem. When this happen you see the piket 60m away before you can do anything. And the milking is broken with no chance in this case. What about the bug that makes the animal jumping 15m from the ground? It's so funny to see a flying piket
Ah, don't milk with an aggressive pet called and near to you. I have 2 pets that are that aggressive that start fighting by themself all the time when I'm milking. The one is a skreeg warrior and the other is a giant angler. Both from Yavin. For sure they kill themself also in the datapad LOL. When I'm milking I see this pets starting to run in the direction of a piket or other animal and in 10sec I'm aggroed by the whole group
About "Milky". It's adult now. I tamed it. For sure a killer had come for it... I think I saved it from a short life!
Too bad piketsare not set to be mounted ...

I've seen the "Creature warps while being milked" issue come and go many times. I believe that there are two factors to combine to make this a problem. First is how much the creature naturally moves. Some creatures seem to move around, and to move faster than others. Sharnaff's on Corellia only very very rarely seem to have this problem and give about 130 units of milk each. Theother factor is lag. If the crature is moving and you don't see it due to lag, then when the client catches up the creature will seem to have "warped". If the milking status check takes place, and the creature has moved, but the client display has not caught up, the "creature has moved too far..." message will be displayed even though the creature is still "right there".
If you are having this problem, and need to filling an order for 100k units of milk, do anything you can to improve framerates, including looking down on yourself from above so that the terrain draw distance is virtually zero (try this trick in a laggy city sometimes, it can really speed up navigation, assuming you remember to use the overhead map and don't bump into things).
By the way, it takes 20 seconds to milk a creature, any creature. There is the initial message about relaxing the creature, three "you continue to milk the creature" messages at 5, 10, and 15 seconds, and the final message at the 20 second mark.
Good hunting milking and clear skies.

wow sounds great!
Let's tame 25-30 pikets and milk them every days ...
I love the Farm idea!
I live in a city where cars, traffic, noise rule. I want a peaceful farmplease!!
Great idea!
