Thread: Milking issues

This is true. But if you have two or three lairs nearby, you can milk them in sequence and by the time your'e done with all three lairs, the first will be ready to go again. This is second hand info though, as I have never really tried it myself.
I have, it does work. If you're patient, and don't mind spending that hour of your life milking pikets that didn't get the memo thatthis was Star WARS Galaxies, andapparently think this is Star Trek what with their teleporters and all... ![]()
Actualy i have found if you have like two lairs like over a hill from eachother what you can do it milk all the creatures at one and kill em. Goto the other one and milk and kill these creatures. Then you go back to the other and there all back again. Rinse and Repeat too your hearts content! ![]()
However, one of the Rontos I attacked rushed me without moving its feet, attacked without moving, and died standing straight up (with his boots on?). This was a little odd.
Later in the evening another Ronto teleported away to my rifle's best range in the middle of combat, so I didn't mind much.
I figured I used to milk all the time so this shouldn't be that hard to do on dantooine or even corellia.
Well was I wrong.
It went something like this:
You relax the creature and begin milking it
You continue to milk the creature
You continue to milk the creature
The creature has moved too far to collect milk from it (because the ($&(@&$#@ creature warped 20m straight up)
This would happen 4 out of every 5 attempts to milk. and yes I did start keeping track. The creature would not always warp into mid air sometimes merely 20-60M away.
This seems a bit crazy, either they need to shorten the milking time, or fix the fix that prevented krayts from being trapped by user placed structures

I know almost no one milks but I had an order for 2500 units of milk from a BE.

too bad we can't slap a trap on something and then.......*ding*
hang on a minute.......maybe we can talk the devs into giving us a trap that stops a milkable animal dead in it's tracks until you finish milking.
I mean, set it up so it's invulnerable to damage while you're in the process of milking, and wears off once you're finished.
It's ingenious!!!!! It'd basically be a phencanphine dart (ahhh dang i know that's wrong)that doesn't place you into combat.......
Anyone else want to add to this?! I think we may have something!

In the last 2 days I have gotten 7k of milk off of Fambaa's and Bols. I really wish they would implement a daytime and nightime ai routine for animals. During the day they are active run around, warp what have you. At night, they lay down and gather together around their nest/hive/home/etc. This way during nighttime would be the best time to milk because all the animals are laying down. Now of course you can put a random attribute in there that the animals can get up and run around at night if you spook them, I just feel that they make milking in this game to damn hard, especially for the amount of milk you get as a reward. Just my 2 cents.
