Actually survial xp is one of the easier ones to get. 2 10 minute camps and you have survival 1 if you have a team and are doing destroy missions. I capped at survival xp (2000 xp) early on. Its just a matter of doing things with groups )

I never have a problem pitching a tent...I guess it really depends which planet your from.

Squidwalker, if the manual says that, it is incorrect. Whether this is a good thing or not I will leave up to others to debate since I am ambivalent about it. (Although I do like the idea of high-level ranger camps getting this ability, to improve their worth.)

If you think the no-build zones are a pain for healing now, wait until those of you wanting to be creature handlers have to deploy them to get your pets out.

I found the distance from Moenia, Naboo to build a camp was okay. The thing I didn't like was that a plain hunter came by while I was healing and tore me up in less than 2 seconds. It was over before I new what was going on. An animal that dangerous shouldn't be that close to town.

Lucky for me, that was my first death and all my stuff remained with me since the cat remained at my camp site for quite awhile.

1 km from town is fair...you should have seen it in beta where you had to be 3km from town and most towns were/are about 5-6km apart...

The game usefulness of a camp is totally taken away from the Scount at this point.

I don't find this to be the case. You're a scout, what are ya doing skulking around cities?

I'm on Corellia (sorry, always botch the names) and the other day set a series of waypoints for myself from one city to the next, just to see if I could make it. And I did. Getting out away from town is fun and as long as you're careful you'll survive. Battle Fatigue is the big problem though...

Anyway, if you could pitch a camp right outside city limits, think what it'd do to the medical industry? Why go to the medical center and /tip a medic when you can shoot a bunny, make a camp from its bones and hide and heal all your wounds for free, AND get experience doing it?

I've spent most of my time around Tyrena, and I can tell you that all the scouts I've spoken to here think the no-build zone for camps is way too big. If I'm far enough away from town that I can't even see it, I should be able to set up a camp. Running 5 minutes from town just to set up camp seems more ofa built-inannoyance than anything. Not talking about xp, just the distance involved.

I was crossing the Dune Sea and was about 3000k away from ANY towns, and I couldn't build a camp. I found a mostly flat area, but no dice. There was nothing around! How am I supposed to be a good scout if I can't build a camp site waaaaaaay outside of town. Could have used one then, too. Got killed a few minutes after I tried...

That's a BRILLIANT idea. The next hunting party I form HAS to have a dancer/musician/entertainer on board to heal battle fatigue while in a camp. Combine that with a medic, some melee persons, some ranged personnel and you're in business... boo-YAH!

you think it's bad now what until 6 months from now when when the build zones arefull player house, harvesters, and towns. The no-building zones should be your best hunting grounds with no houses in site, but camping should be allowed.

Contrary to what the manual says, you can't heal Battle Fatigue in a camp, even if there's a dancer out there. At least, it didn't work for me. That was in a basic camp, though. Maybe better camps allow it?

I don't have any problems here - all you need to do is get about 1K away from town, find a relatively quiet spot, and set up camp. XP comes quicker if you're got some people in camp with you, and really shoots up if you're healing them, ot there is healing going on.

i think battle fatigue can be healed in more advanced camps but not the basic ones or even the ones with two tents and 3 chairs..
