"What I was trying to do was get a couple wounded, a doc or two (though I've got novice medic) and an entertainer, and have them come out with me to a camp... "

I think this and similar comments are a BIG part of why the no build zones for camps are so large. Medical centers and cantinas would barely get used and thats not what is intended. They are meant, especially cantinas and hotels, as social gathering places.

If everyone were pulling their medic and entertainer friends to camps just outside town the places in town would become empty and serve almost no purpose ( cept to heal battle fatigue).

I have been one of the ones complaining about this problem. Last night though, I went out of town in a different direction I had never done. I was not to far past the "you have left %town%" message. I was having almost no problem puttin up camps. I had to find a place that was reasonably flat was the only thing I ran into.

So I don't know if they made a change in that update, or if the problem I (and the rest of us) is because we need flat level terrain.

I just wish there was an easyway to know if you were in a no build zone, or to close to another structure with out having totry it here, ok nope, walk a bit farther, nope, walksome more try again... etc.

In regards to the tent pitching, I found a good alternative. If you dont mind racking up imperial faction points gtake a shuttleto your local Imp outpost. take the destroy missions from there, which are usually 500-1500 away from camp, but still purty close. they dont pay as well, but I had NO TROUBLE AT ALL pitchin tents out there, and I usually have a really hard time. I was able to pitch on all sorts of terrain. if you're runnin imp missions you can prally talk a couple people into going out there with you, and so get mad quick experience from the tents.
