I like some of everyone's ideas on FD but what I though would be cool for FD would be the user has a % chance success of FDing in PVP. When successfulthe attacking player gets the ability to run up and do a "simulated" death blow and it counts in almost every way. But the user actually was never killed to begin with and can do whatever they want afterwards. But upon successful FD one of your hams "incaps" allowing the enemy to "deathblow" the fder and having the user's name turn into the grey corpse title. Later on when the player STOPs FDing the ruse is enlightened to all requiring the guy to make a quick escape. Apon fairlure of FDing, One of your HAM bars will NOT deplete artificially allowing showing the ruse early.

Not a bad idea.

Hmmm I do wonder if this post is best here in the rifleman forum anymore - it started out a rifleman post - now it is a smuggler jedi post... both of which have their own forums.

1) Jedi should not be a playable profession in this game in the first place.

2) PC Jedi should not be allowed to have any skills other than Jedi skills. They can already run up hills better than a Ranger, heal ALL HAM pools with Jedi skills, and kill anything in the game because there is no such thing as "Lightsaber Resistance". We won't get into the whole "saber block = invulnerability to ranged weapons" thing.

That is considered grieving and will get reported.

Bullsh*t. I've asked five CSRs. It's apparently NOT considered griefing anymore, unless the five I talked to were talking out of their arses.

Bullsh!t apparently you werent paying attention to what they were saying. Running somebody's armor down to 0/0 condition while they are feigned IS grieving you moron.

Nope it's not because they have the option to FD or not and to take the consequences for using FD or not. If their armor reaches 0 cond then it's their fault for sitting there in the first place FDed. I have also asked a couple CSRs and they each said that we now all know the consequences for using FD so it's our choice to live with those consequences.

Nice way to double talk to justify being an A S S, griefing or not by the CSRs it is rude, childish and not needed it is griefing in every sense it doesnt matter if some idiot CSR doesnt call it such it is vandalism, harassment, and just plain spiteful none of which are very good qualities, so have fun in the knowledge you wont get in trouble, but know your an a s s for doing it, scum and so forth.

But cheating death by using FD and waiting out your opponent is honorable?

If the devs think that wearing down the armor of a player that is FD is greifing then they can fix that by not having your armor wear down while FD, pretty simple. Otherwise, I say go for it. It is a cheap shot to FD to avoid death anyway IMO.

Again the excuse "cause I can" is used. Maybe you can, maybe the CSRs dont call it griefing, but that doesnt make it right. FD is a skill it is not a cheap shot, taking advantage of that skill and ruining another player's gear is a cheap shot. You do know there is another player at the other end of that computer, FDing to avoid being killed is a game tactic, but black barring and ruining armor is just plain mean.

The guy has a choice to remain FDed or stand up and take it. They know all pros and cons and most of them really don't care.
