Thread: Questions For Me?
Questions for Senior Rifleman Aldeon =)
1) special shots: are state change special shots success rate a function of dmg? I notice they work more with my t21 than my spraystick? Would that code them to work less in pvp due to the 25% pvp dmg multiplier, or they work less cause ppl who pvp usually have tons of defensive mods?
Actually It has to do with speed, like a test I have done before with a Master Rifleman vs Novice Rifleman. For some reason he hit much more then me, and Im guessing its do to speed, and since the percentage to miss is about the same, he had +92, I had +102. Im not sure exactly how the equation works, but the faster you shoot the more you miss.
2) AE shots: do all targets in the cone get affected by the special state change and take damage? or just take special effect and dmg goes to opponent targeted?
The first shot they get the special effect, unless they are already in Combat. The mob/NPC must be in combat to take damage.
3) does aim work while on the move?
No, well somewhat, you stop when you actually go to take AIM and shoot.
4) how much krayt tissue would it take to modify a spraystick?
God, dont remind me of Krayts, I spent weeks getting together the perfect gun and it Crit Failed. Im still pissed, I had a Jawa Ion Rifle, with perfect experimentation on everything, Krayt tissues everything perfect. And it Crits. 500+ credits gone.
Check swgcraft.com, and check how many power handlers it takes to make a spraytstick.
From memory -
T-21 -10
Laser RIfle - 3
Jawa Ion Rifle 5
DLT20a - 1
E11 - 1
Tusken Rifle - 0 (Therefore cant)
5) SEA's: if u attach a speed sea to something atm, does it disapear? not working until patch? i put an sea on my duster with speed and aiming, and the speed component disapered=-/ or rather, if SEA has 2 mods, does only one attach? random?
They attach, if you examine your clothes you will see it says it adds those skill mods, next patch they work.
6) armor vs clothing SEA: armor sea seem easier to get, can you reccomend an armor type and locations with the lowest possible mind HAM, pre experiment pre slice that a rifleman could have made with sockets?
Maruader Armor, its a quest.
7) startle shot: does the stun effect of startle shot count as a posture change? ie "your target resisted posture change" or is the startle component a posture change, and the stun effect merely a stun attack?
Startle Shot is a Posture Change Up, I think your talking about Flushing Shot 2, how it Startles and Stuns. (Thus making Startle Shot worthless)
8) correlia ice cream: unable to find any as yet, what title chef should we search for when looking for it? and what is duration?
Find a Master Chef, dont use Correllian Ice Cream. I have a new combo, much much better. My HAM costs are action when I do this. Breath Of Heaven, Ice Blasters, Glucos Plate.
9) backpacks: how do you attach an SEA to a socketed backpack? it seems to only go into the pack, or produce container is full msg.
Not sure actually.
10) complex macros: is it possible to make a macro line for multiple key functions? example, id like to make the following macro tool bar key:
clear combat que(ctrl-backspace)-target me(ctrl-1)-use stim(f12)
Im not 100 percent sur the backslash commands for those things, besides how you would use stim. Im not 100 percent sure how you would do this, but Im sure someone knows how, and I know its possible with this macro system.
I am not 100% sure because I am at work and not at home where I can check this but....
Create a macro with the following text.
/peace;
/healdamage self;
/attack;
Or leave out /peace and /attack and just use /healdamage self; The peace command stops combat, then you heal yourself, then you start attacking again.
Good Luck, when I get home I will double check my macro.

10) Complex macros:
I am at work right now, but I have a healself macro. It is not very difficult to do. If I remember, I'll post it late tonite when i get online.You dont have to target yourself, there is a command like '/healdamage self' or '/tenddamage self'. It is a GREAT lifesaver on the hot-keys. But you have to make sure you have a stimpack in your general inventory (not in a backpack).
I THINK it looks something like this:
/clear;
/healdamage self; (or maybe /tenddamage self)
You can target yourself with a simple /healdamage self command. i have this as a custom macro in my toolbar.
No need to clear combat que. Right now it inserts itself automatically in between shots.
I'm not 100% sure on the command as it has been 6 weeks since i set it up. i'll check again tonight and repost the exact command whether it's the same or different.
You also don't need to have the stimpack in a ui slot for this command just in your inventory. You can put the /healdamage icon in there for healing otheres as well. This way you just carry a large supply of stims in your inventory and don'y worry about restocking them in your toolbar

I have a question about the 'take cover' skill. Each time I use it, I'm unable to move correctly unless I log out and log back on. My character moves a 1/2 speed walking and running. Is anyone else having this problem?
Mr Plaid
Yes, I'm a Ranger 3-3-4-4. I've only started having this problem after I trained for Novice Ranger.
Mr Plaid
Its only with if you have ranger, Ive never had this problem and have tried thousands of times.
Complex macros:I am at work right now, but I have a healself macro.
I THINK it looks something like this:
/clear;
/healdamage self;
/healdamage self or /healdamage charname works fine for me. However, I can't get my combat queue to clear. /peace helps a bit, but does not clear all actions. I thought there was a /clear command like you said, but using it will always get me an error message that this command does not exist... Can you look up your macro and let me know? Thanks!
