I don't think there's any "obvious" imbalance, due to the fact all the other melee classes have a knockdown that is about 1/4th TKA's costs.
Do you know what a difference that makes?
TheRealTK421, nope I don't mind waiting, TKA is perfectly playable right now and I'd much rather see you DE's get fixed up first
TKA just needs some minor tweaking in PVE and who knows about PVP, I don't think anyone is touching TKA in PVP for a while until a lot of balancing in other classes is taken care of first.

100-400 (min higher than laser, but not much higher MAX hits)

The 400+ Range of max damage is right out too because of the way the special skill multipliers work.
Does anybody like the way this looks?

Easier if we can give holo more of an idea what were we looking for, which again is not some uber all-purpose superweapon. We want to be slow, and hard hitting, and we don't mind paying the penalties we already pay for it.. it's just gotta be worth something, especially in terms of a specialty rifle.

I hope that doesn't refer to me...as a Master Weaponsmith, the T21 is as much mine as it is yours. Plus, I have a more balanced view of things because I *know* the gammut of weapons, and I see how each one fits into *OUR* (yours and mine) game.
The focus of the T21 nerf was the fact that with its AP3 rating and subsequent multiplier, AND the extra multiplier for specials, the damage was severely unbalanced. The "fix" they put in killed the T21 by removing its AP3, not due to its decrease in "stat" damage. The T21 serves a purpose, which is to obliterate heavily armor targets. Losing its AP3 made it a completely worthless weapon (worthless in the sense that it was not worth using in ANY situation). By adding AP3 back into the mix, they've given the T21 its rightful purpose back...against just about any target, the Laser Rifle will be a better weapon to use. However, against an AR 3 target, the T21 will completely outshine the Laser Rifle, as intended. This gives the T21 *a* purpose...it doesn't make it the uber weapon that you guys want.
Basically...learn to carry around several different guns, and learn to use the best one for the job.

Actually, I'm pleasantly surprised by this turn of events.Thank you Holo and the rest of the Dev team for allowing us to make our case, and then having the good grace to listen.
My opinion of you and your team has risen several notches...

400 is not a big difference from 375... BUT the main thing is that the minimum should be noticably higher than a laser. Also with the reduction in PvP, i do not see how requesting a reduction in the HAM costs is unreasonable.

I've avoided the T-21 threads like the plague. But I thought I owed it to the Devs to post this...
It is VERY cool that you guys are willing to come out and admit when you make mistakes/misjudgements. Therewas no attempt to place the blame on players, or on some fluke, just an honest"we were wrong".

It takes a great team and a man to admit their mistakes, their is nothing wrong with it and it also shows that you do care how we feel.
