i've read most of the thread, and will probley respond to a few posts in a little more detail later... but i'm astonioshed at the amount of people who really feel rifles are well balanced in comparison with other nuker professions. I have PvP charecters on both Scylla and Chilastra, and i challenge anyone on either server to kill me with a template that includes Master Rifleman in under 10 minutes. It cannot be done. Rifles do pathetic damage no matter what they are paired with, and no amount of carefullly applied rhetoric or wordsmithing will change that. I'm most ashamed to see a red name make comments such as the ones in this thread, Ackehece's lack of knowledge about our profession in a PVP context is dissapointing, but forgivable as he's not being paid. Blix, go manufactor yourself a perfect rifle, armor, and rifleman template of your choice on Chilastra, and see if you can knock the life of my 2 week old charecter under 50%.

The one thing that trully annoys me about being a MRifleman is the close range accuracy nerf.
Like it's been said we don't have a way to keep targets at range, and we can't run faster than melee so they will always catch us.
I see it this way either give us back our run speed or take away the close range nerf and give us aboost to accuracy and damage at close range.
What is this "close range accuracy" nerf of which you speak? I suspect someriflemen have been hanging out with the BH "omg they nerfed our loot" crowd. M Rifles is a portion of my template, and am of the opinion that Rifles are pretty well balanced.
Not all professions have everything theywant locatedin their 1 profession. This is why you have 250 skill points. You can mix and match what one profession is lacking with what another has.
Blixtev the item database in this game has been nerfed since launch. And it's not just the BH's moaning about it either.

When talking loot drops the system just rolls a die from 1-10,000. Getting consistent short term results is near impossible. You could have bad rolls hundreds of times in a row and it would still be within reasonable expectations. Long term it provides very fine control, however most people will not do the same action 10,000 times.
The BH loot tables haven't been changed since implemented, people just see a wide variety when constantly rolling 1d10000(imagine a die that big!)

Or how about we imagine a die that gives us some chance of getting a premium or flawless pearl, hey?

Well.. since YOU brought up BH loot..
I just had a simple question. JFreeman in an earlier post regarding GCW stated that one of the things the development team wanted to emphasize was that nothing would be done to exclude certain areas of the player base from content (Jedi/4th tier stuff).
I understand why you created better loot for BH Boss marks.. NPC marks needed a boost and an overall remake to create a more enjoyable system. My question is this. Why create certain high-end loot content that seems to be exclusive to MBHs, and no one else? Isn't adding Enhanced Power Cells and Reinforced Casings as BH loot excluding the rest of the player base from this 'content'?

What I'm imagining more then anything else is hte actual populated parameters for a loot table that encompases a value of that size.

What's your character's temp?
not sure it's entirely relevant (a 'nuker' ought to be able to deal enough damage to kill anything given time.. and 10 minutes it plenty of time) but i have a high defense sword tank on Chilastra, and a Rifle/BH on Scylla. I much prefer rifles, i've been a rifleman since launch, but right now, they are just completely useless in high-end PvP

The Broken Sandstat and Datapad are repeated 3,000 each for consistency.
Hehehe

And I do, and that's fine. I can go a week without getting anything and then several days in a row where I get lots of stuff.
I know you're not the one to talk about the Item DB with, but it really does need an overhaul.
And I do think that other mobs should be dropping some stuff too. Loot makes the game go-around. Keeps things interesting. Keeps the thrill there.

While I would agree that the BH tables have not been touched (after last night I'd say they were bumped up especially for me
), I'd also have to agree with other posters (in this thread and others) that the overall loot tables have been borked for many months now.
Are there any plans to redo the loot tables for non BH mission mobs?

I beleive they've totally decided to get rid of 'professions matching the cu flow chart'.
B/c as you know,a Squad Leader is DEFINITELY not a tanker, nor is BH(at least not unless combined with other more tanky profs, like melee).
