Thread: Rifleman Templates
I was playing around with a profession calculator and think that I may have come up with a good template. I plan to go the route of Master Rifleman, Master Bounty Hunter, Pistoleer 0403, Combat Prowess 2400. With this template I come out with the following:
General Ranged Accuracy: 221
General Ranged Speed: 67
Melee Defense: 155
Ranged Defense: 225

Currently I am a Master Rifleman, 0330 BH, and 4000 Healer in Jedi.
I have been using this as my group grind template incase a BH came but I am starting to think about keeping it because it is so strong. Since the launch of CU I have had a good 15 bh's come after me (and I fought them all, no running for me) and only 1 had beaten me (stupid Last Ditch
).
With the High Damage of Rifleman (plus Critical Shot and Underhand Shot from BH) combined with the healing from Jedi. I am almost unstopable.
cool down times, from i have managed to experement with, do change with higher speed
you see it when u get an adrenal buff (THE best thing a doc has now )
i am :
RM / MCM / Carbs 0430 (had to drop an FS BOX FOR THE improved charge shot - a very good KD)
i got good acuracy , not good melle def, but i have the MCM healing skills and de-buff skills with it...

it will work
you will do less damage as your accuracy will not stack and you will not gain much in ranged defence but you will gain innate armor which is a nice feature.
you will not be as strong as a melee stacker nor a ranged stacker.
Looking at it with a friend, from the pure ability standpoint. I respecced my original character last night, closer to his roots now (at launch he was a master ranger/master rifle)
See how this tickles you... Master Rifleman/Master marksman/Master smuggler.
You get an extra damage attack (reckless shot) and best of all, crowd control in the form of Concussion shot (a root). Top it all off with Last Ditch which can do well over 2000 in PvP with a pistol, let alone a rifle, and you're looking at some fun. I plan to actually try it out tonight and see how well it works. I can tell you this though, with MBH, MCarb, and some pistols + MPist/MSmug/TK med we took out krayts no sweat. Didn't even get hit.
thats a nice combination, but I chose not to master rifle on my alt. instead I went withmaster pistoleer. myoffensive speed with rifle equipped is 100+ (I believe 106) and the specials (stopping shot, intimidate, etc) are far better thanthose I wouldhave gottenwith master rifle. Its awesome in PvP as well as PvE. I haven't had any problemssoloing Giant Canyon Krayts as well as Giant Dune Kimogilas.
